Tc76mps
With the MPS wheel will it spool sooner or later than the stock wheel? What exactly is the TC76 turbo my shop out here in Ca looked at it and thought it was a 67mm housing on the compressor side is that true? Is it the smallest compressor housing available that will hold a 76mm wheel? Thanks

The compressor side is a 62-1 wheel.
It will spool very fast, so you have no worries there. It is indeed a 76mm turbo though.

This info is directly from Turbonetics Tech staff so you can take it to the bank that it is correct.
The exhaust side will support 1K FWHP, but the cold side will only support 700 FWHP MAX.... if that.

before choke flow was reached. Just my .02 cents. Also look for a BIG turbo test coming soon....ala (The Turbo Shootout )
Also this unit does not use a Q-trim, renamed. Q-trim wheel from T-netics is on the right pictured below.

Doc, no disrespect to you or Jose....gotta say that first because you guys are an asset to tech.
I see S trim in the specs listed below. Robert and Co. at turbonetics gave me the specs of my turbo directly off the PN listing on the side of my turbonetics box. Since it was dropped shipped directly from turbonetics I don't see how the info can be wrong. Unless I was told I was getting one thing and sold another, but I'd have to believe Tnetics as they put the turbo together.
Why would Turbonetics tell me the turbo is only good for 65lb/min...they areN'T trying to sell me something or trying to upgrade this to a bigger unit. Once again these specs were derived from the PN's/serial number on the side of my Tnetics box.

If it does indeed flow 96lb/min thats a hair past 1042FWHP.

Jer, I dont understand how its a "76mm turbo" if it has a 62mm compressor wheel??? believe all T60-T76's have the same turbine side wheels (example: T67 Q trim has same turbine wheel as T76 Q trim)... its the compressor side that varies in size... which classifies it as a certain size turbo.

Your turbo is 76mm inducer.102mm exducer. Thos turbos are specd by us and the part # you have is correct. The problem is the info T-netics gave you is wrong on HP levels. That same unit is the above unit flowed. Some guys over there aren't the sharpest.

Doc, this came from their tech dept, the guys who built these things. Other than that i'll have to see 3rd party proof that the TC can support this kind of power for me to not believe the guys at turbonetics at this point. I've been all over supraforums, turbomustangs etc with no mention of the TC series on any of these forums...which led me to start asking questions to where I knew I'd get the specs, turbonetics.
Trust me I want to see this turbo perform to the highest levels, but with all those that were "sold" here on tech and abroad I have seen nothing.
Feel free to post up dynographs, vids, posts of people who are making power near what the quoted 96lb/min would support and i'll be stoked. I'll push my TC for all its worth.

I would like to see some dyno results also. I use this turbo in my turbo kits based on the info that Forced Inductions gave me.
I am wrapping up the build on my shop car now. As soon as it is completed I will hit the dyno and see how this turbo does on a 370 cube engine.

I am shotting for some big numbers out of this setup. If I am not happy with the results I am gonna swap a PT88 on there and see what happens. I know once its done I have alot of tunning ahead of me. Thank god for the EFI Live/RR software and the new release of the the real time open loop fuel correction that is comming out very soon.

I ended up selling the mock up kit I was going to run on the shop car to get the funds together to Sponsor LS1Tech. I am stepping up to a full tube header setup with a big single. I just havent decided if I am gonna upgrade tig welders from an Econtig to a Syncrowave 200 and make my own headers or buy some of OFI's and use them. The competition around home has gotten fierce and I have to run with the big boys.
