I have never driven anything with more horsepower than my car, and it is stock. I am more looking at Ed's kit he sells. It's just nice to know that there is an possible upgrade if that is not enough.
However, what is the advantage of getting 800 hp from a twin screw over over forms of FI like a turbo, a procharger, or twins?

I think we need to get AmericanHP to be the inside man and try to convince Kenne Bell to make a kit for Fbody Accessory drive. All they would really have to do is lengthen the drive snout .88" to match the accessory drive of an Fbody LS1 and make sure their tensioner setup will work on that accessory drive. It seems weird that they don't offer this as an option for the Hot Rod kit because a lot of the Hot Rods using LS1's use the Fbody drives because they are WAY more common than the Corvette engines (This is how Whipple offers their 3.3L kit, the SC pulley and tensioner can be ordered to work with the Corvette, Fbody, or Truck Accessory drives).
If they would design the SC to work with the Fbody Accessory drive they wouldn't have to design a specific kit, which I know they never would because of the cutting and since the aftermarket kind of shuns us Fbody crowd.

+1 for Ed to take American HP up on his offer. Nice to hear that there might be a larger Maggie coming soon too. I can't wiat to get mine installed and take it for the first drive.

What about that pulley combo I asked you about? We have the exact same combo eg. engine size, heads and blower in the Hummer? Currently, we're seeing 9PSI with the 3.5 pulley. My guess is the 3.0 pulley would be about 11-12PSI in Cory's (LS2 Portworks) Hummer. Eventually will want 15-16 PSI after adding METH...My guess is your using a 2 7/8 upper pulley? These Blowers sure do work well..........
Kick *** power by the way....

The 2.50-2.75 pulley nets me anywhere between 18.5-20psi. of course this is with the 2.8, and not the 2.6S/C. The pulley size depends on wether or not your running a larger crank pully....I'm running an 8" I wouldn't acheive these boost levels without an 8" balancer.

We are running the 2.8 H series (silverado kit)...I was thinking a 3 inch pulley(not made yet for the truck) would give about 11-12PSI with a 7.625 Truck lower pulley...Looks like a 8 inch lower pulley is in Cory's future for now until there done...
It will be interesting to see what hp you get out of your new combo...20 psi (assuming the intake tract from t-body to blower will not be the restriction) should give you 900RWHP....
Man, my post sure is screwed up on this thread...Shows up like a day later and now I can't delete the extra ones...

Hey AmericanHP have you been able to get any numbers on the height of your 2.8L C5 unit (the main blower and the air intake)? This weekend I tracked down a guy here in Bremerton that actually has a 2.8L H on a 402ci iron block in a hummer and went over to check it out. It looked pretty damn sweet and I could totally see it under the hood of my car, but when I measured the height I got a higher number than I was expecting. His unit is the truck/SUV kit, so I don't know if for some reason it had thicker mounting plates/spacers but his was about 10.5"-11" tall from the valley to the top (which anything over 10" scares me a little). I still think it "should" be doable but just will require more modifying to fit it. I'm VERY confused why his would be taller when I have pics (which I posted earlier in this thread) showing the LS1 2.6L to be 9.5"-10" tall.
For everyone else's information the 2.8L is the same height as the 2.6L just longer...

No, I dont. But I will next week. My motor will be done and shipped from LME on thursday (friday at the latest). I had them assemble the entire longblock. When it gets here, give me a day and I'll have the blower mounted on the motor outside the car. I can then give you every conceiveable measurement you can handle..

For anybody looking for install pictures on a truck (well sort of). Here's the address to Cory's 2.8 install on the Hummer...

Here's the original post over on the truck section about installing it...
