hell i have a couple of questions myself...

does methanol itself add any power, or just the ability to add a little more timing/boost?

if i tune a setup for no meth, and then add meth, will i lose power? gain a bit of a cushion for safety/from detonation?

where can i buy methanol if i start to run low?

Yes you will defently add quite a bit of a cushion for safety/from detonation?
also the cooling benefite is awasome. Cooler intake inlet temps, combustion temps, exhaust temps, cleaner cumbustion chambers, exhaust ports, and a super clean intake.

OK methanol last a long time compared to raceleaded fuel that you have to pump into your gas tank, Because The system is progressive, and only sprays on demand (by a boost sensing sensor) set at a certain boost level to turn it on. It is not wasted, For a LS1 street car making up to 15 + PSI of boost race gas is not needed.

Methanol can add power because of its cooling benefite. With Cooler intake inlet temps , it is not uncommon to see 20 + HP at the wheels,

Now the octang benefite will allow more boost and timming to be added over a set up that was maxed out because of the limmitations of pump gas.
I have seen a 93 pump gas car at 8 psi pick up 125 HP because it was able to run 7 more psi of boost just by installing a methanol injection system.
Awasome!

hey Frost , you asked me that allready ,
Locked? not Deleted?
yeah i guess because my web sight link was in my replys, but , when i signed up, LS1tech asks you what you want to have a a singnature etc, i didnt know that it would be a link and that the link would actually work.

Ok I am going to be a sponcer on LS1tech , but not until my Sight is all done, about a month from now .
Right now i am just looking to help Tech members out answering questions etc.
It can be very frustrating , I know i been a car nut for 15 years now! and its nice to get info and have questions answered by someone who knows what there talking about. So i am giving back what i know and how ever i can help someone.

You wil have to excuse my ignorance but Not only am I new to Methanol, but I am new to FI, none the less quite interested. So if I understand correctly your supercharged car is on the meth at all times,(injected after a certain amount of boost is reached) therefore you tune your car to run on meth at all times. So basically if you were out of meth you should change your tune.Do I have this sort of correct or are there other tuning options ie. occasional meth ( like NOS use) etc. Help me understand if you could? Thanks in Advance!!

I run ford windsheild Fluid which has a high content of methanol (65%) and a **** load cheaper ($3.75) and can use the wipers when ever I want

My IAT are low 70's when I am beating on the car in 90degree + weather. Highest in traffic I have ever seen was 120degrees but thats without meth spraying

Here is the info about the ford stuff

FORD PART# ZC-32-B
$2.90 dealer cost
Size: 32OZ

I have my meth pump tapped into my wiper fill tank so it takes it right out of there. My meth pump is set off my eboost2 to kick on @ 3psi.

I am doing both. If I were not to use a intercooler I would make sure you had a good IAT gauge.

intercooler=restriction+weight
i dont think its a bad idea if you dont drive the car on the street much.
The mustang guys do it all the time in a power adder class, and limited cubic inches to get every bid of power they can
