Default Vortech @ 7lbs - 520 rwhp

We just finished a stock bottom end Vortech with after cooler. Here are the results:

The car has ARE stage 1 heads and a small cam, FLP headers, Flowmaster, Rapid Tuning.

Good numbers, but I know a certain T/A with twin turbos and a stock bottom end that is running 136mpg trap speeds. This prolly equates to 600+ rwhp on a dynojet.

Any idea why the graph is a ittle wavey Mikey?

We had some driveline vibration from a wheel balance problem and it caused the wavey lines...

Looks pretty close to my graph, without the wavy lines. Mine actually showed 8PSI at 6600RPM, and the HP graph was still going straight up.

Good numbers!

So, with over 500RWHP, you'll be seeing low tens in the 1/4, right?

Post up the slip when it happens.

PROBABLY HIGH 10S LOW LOW 11S @ 123-125 IN A FULL WEIGHT F-BODY.

I'm hoping for 10.90 @ 130mph.
I think I can do it with 4.10s, 28" slicks and skinnies, and the harlan 2-step. I can shift fairly well, too.

It is unrealistic to think that a supercharged stock bottom-end motor will last as long as a bone stock motor. But with a good tune and zero detonation, it should last a few years, provided that you don't drag race every day of the week. Vortech put a lot of R&D into producing the V9 LS1 kit. If it blew up the LS1 engine after only 6 months of mild use, well, I think we all know what the results would be.

Great results.

I'm looking forward to getting the dyno numbers on my V9 kit soon. The motor is otherwise totally stock, with only a modified (no muffler, straight 3" pipe) SLP dual dual exhaust and bottom of the airbox cut out.

I'll post 'em after the trip to the dyno.
