From what I understand, YES, and you can get them in different Sizes to fit the hose size your using.

ok dumb question, but i want to do this this simplest cheapest way possible without having to to buy 10 an fitting and weld them on my valve covers, is there any way to incorporate the catch can using the stock lines?

I have a line from the pass valve cover to the intake pipe of my supercharger and its pulling oil into the intake tube, could I fix this with merely a check valve somehow?

I dont wanna spend more money I just wanna eliminate this stupid fucken problem so I work on my tune some more.

Theres a few board members that use that piece and I have used it myself on our ford focus build. I am now using it on my T/A, so far so good.

Get SOM check out Roon's setup. I've basically duplicated it for my build as well. The info is within this thread (page 3 or 4). The rear driver and front pass ports are sent to a CC while the intake runs to the rear pass port which has a check valve in place for blocking boost from coming into Crank case.

I skipped the whole AN fitting stuff and got 3/8" fuel hose (6ft) and yanked the stock PCV stuff. Then just slip fit the hose onto the existing nipples coming off the valve covers. Use a couple hose clamps and your done. I also used 1/4" NPT w/ 3/8" barbs for the oil seperator and 3/8" barbs for the CC. Whole setup costs less than $30

Its from home depot. Can be found in either the lawn mower/go cart section or the air compressor section. Its a bigger version of the oil sep that a lot of N/A guys use. Its only got one inlet (3/8") so I got a 3 way tap and ran the driv rear and pass front ports into that 3 way "T" fitting and then a "male to male 3/8" into the home depot can. The other side has a pepboys filter connected to it which I might run a line to the turbo inlet for vacuum. It's likely going to be temporary but for only $20 its a good alternative IMO if your setup isnt too radical. If it holds up and runs good ill be keeping it.

Are those adapters, so you can run AN fitting without welding to your valve covers?? If so where did you get them? Cost? PN? I have some billet valve covers from Speed Inc. and dont want to weld on them.

I also like the catch can from Josh@KYTP. How tall is it with the filter?

Yup Ryan @ A bear. $750 for the covers. No part number. I had allready come up with this idea from my buddie Danny. So we did it on my his vette which I have allready posted.

Yes. And the other reson I used the stock PCV inline is my vac was like 20 at cruise. And it was sucking thru the catch can to the intake also But that took care of it. I put 1k on my last setup before I took it apart and NO oil in the intake

I just installed a couple of those check valves. Good parts.

Under vacuum, rear covers flow through a catch can and return through intake.
Under boost, rear covers vent to atmosphere.

In both cases the passenger front vents to atmosphere.

Very informative thread guys. Just to clarify if i have a ls6 valley cover and im running NA will getting rid of the pcv and running a strait line to a breather catch can be fine. Then block off all ports on the valve covers. Should I still keep the line from the tb to the pass vc? Thanks

No you need to cap the line going from TB to valve cover. Under boost you will send boosted air into the crankcase if you don't cap it.

I think this stuff is all hard to condense because everyone has a new setup to contribute every 5 min

ill report back how my setup works (at least on the dyno) and look for some weaknesses. Heres what im doing:
-TB capped
-rear ports to husky catch can
-intake>check valve>pass front port

But im on the fence on whether or not to run the stock PCV valve after the Check valve. I guess the PCV valve would help under vacuum?

The stock PCV system ties both side valve covers to the PCV Valve.
Then run a line from the PCV valve to a Catch Can then to a Vacuum source.
The other passenger line going to the TB is a vent.
You should cap off the TB and vent the line straight to the ground.
At first I had a tee on mine but I notice I had higher oil pressure so
I took it off then I found out it was a vent.
I am using the other port after the TB on the Intake to control the Bypass valve.

I don't feel so ignorant now! If we can all agree on a setup that works, is cost effective and can come up with a diagram so even a dumb *** like me can follow I suggest we make it a sticky. There are so many threads on this topic and this one seems to be the most informative. Compiled information with a good "FINAL" diagram. Thanks for evryones input.... I myself am still waiting on the final setup so I can move forward.
