Got another question, the line coming from the left side of the power steering pump...I don't have the replacement hose (previous owner didn't send it). Can I just bend down the aluminum line straight down to make it clear?

Ok I bent the pipe on top completely down and the one on bottom all the way forward. Here's a pic. Any reason this shouldn't work?

Ha good point on the leaking...I sure did bend the heck out of those lines. lol I don't think I cracked any of them though.
Do you know how much psi this line see's? I ask because i'm wondering if I can just cut the piping near the end fittings and clamp on some new rubber hose. Here's a pic of one with rubber hose.
I am going to call Vortech tomorrow and see if they can sell me this replacemtent hose.

Does anyone know how the actual fitting stays on top of the power steering pump? I know it has the little clip that clips above it but the fitting must lock in to the top somehow.

That is the presure side of the pump, but a Hydraulic hose place can make you something to work I don't think the hose clamp thing is going to fly. And the clip slides in the grove of the brass peice and has two small hex bolts that go through the clip and screw into the S/C bracket to keep it from comming out although it is not under presure as it is the suction side etc...GL!

I think I have a new Vortech Hi-traction 2.85" pulley at home. If you send me the P/N you are looking for I will see if it's the same, then we could talk.

Better get a hose made or get the right one. That pressure side hose can see massive pressure spikes when the steering is on the bump stop...IIRC nearly 4 digit pressures. Certainly enough to burst anything other than crimped steel-reinforced hydraulic hose.

4 digit pressure huh, I heard that pressure is usually only 60-90psi range?
Yeah I don't think i'm going to be using the stock hose and fittings. I was able to call vortech and get the sizes for the fittings that usually come with the kit.

Oh, the pic from the instructions. So the clip thing that holds it on there just presses against the fitting?

It bolts on to the surecharger bracket. And holds the return in place. Not hard to make at all. When I did the g trim kit and T trim kit they were missing. And I didnt want to wait for vortech. Both kits are running around with no problems.

With the fitting for the oil feed line it says to drill it with a "R" drill bit and tap it with a 1/8" NPT. Do the "R" drill bits come in multiple sizes or is it specifically one size? Could I just use a 1/8" drill bit?

5/16 or 21/64 will get you there for sure.

So I called Vortech to get the fitting sizes for the power steering pump and I wanted to see if anyone knew where to get these type of fittings. If anyone know's part #s that would be great.

Female Mount to Male:
-6 JIC
-6JIC W/ 90 degree

Bump Fitting
-6 M16 x 1.5
-6 M18 x 1.5

A local hydraulic hose shop should have what you need.
