So on with the show. Took the EGR out and put the block off plate on. Now I have room for my power cooler support.

Got the bracket mounted on for now, haven't torqued the bolts yet. Waiting for my new power steering line to come from Vortech.

Removed the exhaust to take off the oil feed fitting. Had it tapped and remounted it with the line.

Then drilled and tapped the oil drain. I feel I got a lot more metal chips in the oil pan than I wanted to... What is the best way to get these out? Run and drain a few quarts of oil through? If I take the oil filter off when I run oil through, shouldn't any stray chips run out?

Looks good so far install the cooler support bracket, but don't worry about tighting it up until you have all the piping installed as you will have to adjust the height according to your car etc... The metal chips I wouldn't worry about too much as the oil screen will stop most of it from getting in and the filter will catch the rest and as you change your oil most will come out etc... If you put the grease on the tap is about the best you can do while having it in the car etc... Good luck looking good. Did you get the package?

Thanks Jeff. No I haven't gotten it yet....but my mail hasn't come today yet. I'll let you know when I get it.
I hear of people spinning rod bearings and such with metal shavings in oil pan...is it really that easy?

Look there is always a small chance, but I wouldn't worry about it cause it is unlikely to be your problem. Hmmm I thought you would have got it by now. LMK.

Yep supposed to be a grade 8 bolt and a very thick machined washer.

Got my new power steering line from vortech yesterday so I was able to continue on.
Mounted the power steering pump, j bracket and line. It's getting closer and closer to being done, I can't wait. At this point I think I have put in about 8 hours and i'm probably only half way considering I have to do the injectors and fuel pump. Here's some pics.
Yes I know it's dirty, have to deep clean after this install. : )

Alright on with it. Got the pin kit and pinned the crank....was definitely a little easier than I thought it was going to be.

Put the balancer on and torqued it down. Put the dampner and the vortech pulley (not pictured)

Assembled the power steering line and put the pulley back on.

Started the supercharger mounting which looks like it's going to be a tight fit behind the blower.

To come....injectors and the powercooler.

Yes, it'll be real tight back there. The inlet tube on mine is right against the fuel line. You might notice the inlet tube is angled slightly down where it goes into the back of the blower.

Also, from some of the pics it looks like you've already lowered the drivers side coils with those little tabs?

He has a 98 not available on that model coils are attached directly to the valve cover. Looks good Eric.

Thanks guys.

I might have to take the head unit back off, I don't think I cleared the connector and loom for the MAF.

Another option Eric is to seperate the fuel line and the vent line and route them a little different so that you may have a little more room if you need to know how just shoot me a pm, but I am sure you can figure it out.

hey man

its faster for me to respond here,

do you have the vortech ignition relay? I think you will need more of that red gauge wire (since the dumbass cut it) that goes to the ignition relay that you have to modify with the fuse tap.

There's 2 grounds. yellow wire with the ring terminal goes to your battery.

The wire loom is a little tricky. you can always solder and add more length if need be, it was tight on my car too, I ran it under neath the blower.

I wish I could just show ya rather than tell ya lol.

Good luck man you're almost there.

Cool thanks for the replys, I should be able to figure it out. Kinda strange because the relay is mounted on the bracket instead of by the fuse terminal like vortech shows it. Might as well post the pic in here so people know what we are referring to.

I don't have the fuse tap for the ingition relay. Could I get that anywhere, or is it Vortech specific?
