Yes they are cheap, but don't expect instant spool....lol. They are straight off BIG diesels. They will work pretty good on some applications such as race cars.

I don't think my new turbo will exactly have instant spool either

Does that mean dynamic seals or whatever they're called for diesel apps?

Almost all current turbos from all the manufactures use dynamic seal in this present time.

Was going to buy a set of headers this weekend but it turns out I might be giving you a call instead. Wicked deals on these.

So is it the turbine wheel that makes it slower spooling? Trying to figure out what it is that's different between diesel and gas apps if they both have the same seals.

It will work on a 370, and spool decent. Its not instant spoolup by any means, but it will make some good power for sure.

It would be somwhere in the 3500-3800rpm range depending on tuning, compression, and cam specs.

i have the standard s475 with 1.32 a/r on a stock 6.0 with a cam. I see boost off idle around 32-3500, and my full 10psi around 4200. That is with the stock 1700 stall in the 4l80e as well. Sure they dont spool that fast, but the $6-700 you save is well spent elsewhere to make up for it. Also once you get these things moving, they make rediculous power

how large are these turbos compared to the s series bw units or even the tc76 (specifically the 1000hp capable s400-75 t6-96 framed/1.32a/r)

Why do you only list the S480 to 1100hp? Didn't you just post a graph of it making 1330hp maxed out? Just wondering why you guys always underrate these things.

Manufacture ratings....., plus those in the graphs are race cover units, not standard BW units.

A S400-80 with stock cover is a little larger then a S91. Its longer and taller.

The TC76 is a micro turbo compared to the Borg Warners.
