Default Video inside.QMP kit w/67mm,Mustang dyno=500rwhp.

Finally got my new setup tuned at Straightline Performance. This is the old Rob Raymer QMP kit with a small 67mm turbo. I got rid of the small intercooler for a monster FMIC.

Unlocked 3k stall,9inch with 370 gears on a mustang dyno and it pulled 500rwhp and 480ftlbs. Im hoping for high tens on stock weight.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...56278424625687

Here is a little walk around of the car after the FMIC install. Dont mind the charger in the middle, and finally my two runs. First to 6k 2nd to 7k.

Alex

Max boost was 13.5. Came on really quick and started to drop right at around 6700-6800rpm. Im thinking a 76mm would work out really well with this engine.

Nice. I'm impressed that you were able to get up to 13.5 psi without maxing out the turbo; what's the A/R on that 67? And what's the heads/cam setup?

Sounded like he maxed it out to me if boost began to drop

Im not sure of the a/r on the turbo. I bought the kit used and didnt even check. Ill have it in the air tomorrow. The heads are ported/polished 241s,cam is a 226-228,.600/.609 lift on a 115+4 lsa.

RW99, What boost level are you running?

keep an eye on exhaust backpressure

I would also relocate the wastegate to between the cylinder banks (unless it has all ready been moved to there)

if not that should fix your boost drop for a while anyways.

Whats up Mike. Forgot to text you with the numbers. Everything went fine this time on the dyno. Only problem with it now is a small exhaust leak from a small crack developing of the rear primary.

MIGHTYMOUSE, Ive heard that helps out. This was just a beginner kit for me. I think im going to run it the way it is for a little while and then just swap out for a more high hp kit. Ive been looking at OFI or Kentucky Turbo kits.

Thumbs up

Congrats on the numbers! Is that Mike Wells old kit?? (just curious)

As far as backpressure, that's not gonna be an issue. Especially with the .96 ar housing. And the wg location is also exactly where you want it to be...after all 8 cylinders. I made 790rwhp with the EXACT same wg location, on the exact same log manifold, but with a T-76.

Let me know if you I can help you with anything...

Duh...obviously it was Mike's. Just realized he was the one that posted the ar size.

Been a long week....

I see 11.0 - 11.5 psi on the street. My T67 exhaust housing is 0.96 A/R, like yours.
