APS TT large cube kit or Procharger F1A on 408ci ? This is going on a 6spd street car and I want it to be pump gas to. What are the pros and cons about either? Problems? Power? Cost? I heard even with the 8 rib the s/c belt would still slip, is that true? I like the way my true duels sound (camming) and I know with the s/c I can keep them. What does a turbo exhaust sound like? Will it be quiet or will have a cam sound? Thanks for any info or help

An 8-rib shouldn't slip if setup correctly. I have many thousand trouble free miles on mine.
the turbo car will be quieter then a comparable SC car.
You really can't go wrong with either, I've said this before and I'll say it again, its like asking which is better head from a blonde or from a brunette.
IMO, if you have the budget for it I'd go with a turbo setup over the SC. Reason being is that its more versital as far as adjusting boost goes, AND you will get more low end TQ which will make the car feel faster daily driving. The trade off however is that it will make the car more difficult to drive & control the power then a SC car which is much more linear in response and delivery of power.

The big question is, where do you want the power and how much power do you want?
If you want big top end power and around the 800hp range, both will work.
If you want a huge amount of midrange and down low, get the turbos.

I would get a frnt mount intercooler with the F1A but who makes the piping for the frt mnt intercooler. Procharger has the frt mnt I/c option but I can't find the piping or does it use the piping for the twin I/c? I would like to make 850rwhp.

My trans am was a twin turbo car. This time round I'm trying out a 427 with an f1r procharger. I don't like how the turbo cars are unresponsive to throttle input and sluggish out of boost. I want to feel it hit exactly when I lay the hammer down.

Our front mount intercooler kit is an option at the link above.
We had this combination on my '99 Z28 at the LSX Shootout last year.

9.5 and 16psi with a blower is getting on the edge of disaster, its far easier to change a pulley then a motor. With gas around 3.70-3.80 for 93oct, whats another buck a gallon for 110 leaded?
Your cam will work fine, not 100% optimal but it should not hold you back on horse power.

Gotta a NICE, brand new F-Body F1A set-up in the 4-sale section with a front mount IC and all the piping, plus some extras, if you are serious about this I can save you some dollars.

Jeremy,
Buy the freaking APS kit already.......at the same peak horsepower level the turbo will make 150-200 more torque, not ever have belt problems, and just generally will be more pimp. Dont make me slap you
