Engine plates are for high hp/tq engines to prevent the engine from twisting from massive torque They brace it to the frame. They should help to transfer more power to the ground as well. I have the mid plate also, it goes in between the rear of the engine and the transmission. I kept my stock mounts also just because it made it alot easier to mount in the right place. I figure they can't hurt and help to add even more support. Mad Man said I can get rid of the stock mount's, so I might take them off once everything is fully mounted to save a few extra pounds but for now they are staying.

Got my radiator relocated last night, made for a ton of space but man did I have to hack some **** up. What a pain in the ***! I hate saw zawing/grinding. I'll post a pic of how it came out and show the added clearance in front of the motor, later tonight.

I was thinking that cog pulley looked like something from a roots blower setup. Sure enough it was. What machine work was involved in making it fit?

Just new mounting holes to match the ls1 damper bolt pattern.

First pic is of how I modified the plate to fit the alternator, I also had to cut off some material on the alternator where it mounts to make up the thickness of the plate so It would line up for the belt. The rest are of the radiator relocation, don't make fun of my hack job, it's a work in progress. Also notice how much I'm going to have to modify the bmr radiater mount to make it fit. I think I gained about 6" on the top side and 4" on the bottom, makes for lots of room.

Thanks. It's just the bmr radiator mount sitting on top, it doesn't fit, yet.
