Who makes the best head unit? Paxton, Vortech, Procharger, etc.?

Who makes the best head unit? Paxton, Vortech, Procharger, etc.?
Who makes the best supercharger head unit? Best as in, makes the most power, least maintenance, least problems, etc.?
Which head unit is the loudest? (whistle)
I'm looking at these 3:
Paxton Novi 1500
Vortech V3 (self-contained, SQ technology)
Procharger P1SC
I know that the Paxton and Vortech are self-contained, which eliminate the extra work for the drain routed to the oil pan.
Anyhow, if you choose other, please post and specify what head unit you're referring to. Thanks.

Because the kit Vortech offers (without going custom) comes with a little 800 cfm g-trim. They need to offer at least the T-trim in a kit if they want to compete.

All the C6 versions are T-Trim:

They now offer a self-contained V3 and is available for the C6 as well:

I have had 2 Prochargers a P1sc-1 and a D1sc and have had no problems at all. On the other hand my best friend has had a p1sc-1 and 2 F1r's because the first f1r impeller shaft came apart/bent and ate in to the housing with about 1000 miles on it over about 2years. Procharger's are very easy to install and maintain and are very dependable for the most part but every company will have some compant's for the most part. I would highly recommend buying the head unit and intercooler from EPP and a spring tentioner bracket from SDCE also move your radiator forward and use the stock fans and you will have a great and reliable set up.

A&A Vortech kit here. V-3 (SQ) T-Trim.
I have the super quiet version which I prefer. A lot of guys that have corvettes use the ECS(paxton), and A&A(Vortech) kits because those are big sponcers on CF. Both sponcers also put together a great kit. That might be why you see a lot of Paxton/Vortech C5/6's.

Jon's car is extremely nice too, saw it at the 60-130 this weekend.
The V3 is a solid peice and since its self contained you are leveling out the playingfeild with procharger.
But..there are way more results to go around with procharger units, why? Because lots of people have them. The D1SC is good for gobs of power too.
What are your goals with the car?

Speed Density, I believe all the Procharger head units are self-contained. The Vortech V2 and V3 share a lot of the same characteristics, other than the V3 is self-contained. The Paxton NOVI-1500 is yet another self-contained unit. Here's the choices I'm trying to decide from:
Paxton NOVI-1500
Procharger P1SC
Vortech V3
The reason it's between those 3, is because they all flow a maximum of 1200 CFM and have a max power of 825 HP. Actually, I can't find any stats on the V3. However, it comes in a T-Trim, so if it shares the same performance stats as the V1, then it should have the 1200 CFM/825 HP rating.
Goals. I really don't have any. In all honesty and this is going to sound ridiculous, I simply want it for the sound and the additional power is just a bonus. Plus, I've always wanted a blown street car. I loved the race car and being at the drag strip, but that was the only time I could enjoy the car and that was very seldom.
ProjecT 9, if you ever have a chance, would you mind making a short video clip of the engine bay while he car is running? I would like to hear the head unit and the BOV.

You're right, but majority of them are. 3 of 20 aren't self-contained.
The P1SC may be a small blower, but I don't have plans for huge numbers. 600rwhp would be more than enough. Plus, I'm no where close to wanting to pull the motor out for a built bottom end.

i've sold and installed tons of every supercharger you noted up there and they are all good blowers, the procharger kits tend to offer more power but the fit and finish isnt quite as nice as the vortech, the s trim and the t trim are LOUD way louder than the procharger p1sc or the d1sc
