No, just change your injectors when they get clogged.

I already have a 40 micron filter..would it be a good idea to toss it for a 10? Does it make that big of a difference?

where are you trying to fit it? Mine was a REAL tight fit, but it did fit in there with before/after filters.

You can also put the post filter up by the rails.

This is for my 350z. The fuel pump is already half way up the car under my seat.(its how they do it in the race 350z from sound performance.

Should I get rid of my 40 micron for a 10 micron?

It's also reccomended to put the filter as close to the fuel injectors as is possible because sometimes fuel lines themselves can degrade.

so use the 10 mic before the pump and a 40 mic close to front near the rails.

Smaller number is finer filtration.... use the 10 micron near the rails & a 100 micron before the pump.

Ive been using a 100mic filter before my pumps for a few years now. Ive changed the filter once in around 20k miles.

Cant say Ive ever had any problems. I simply dont have the room after the pump without major work.

If I ever re-do my fuel system I may add one. But as they say...if it aint broke, dont fix it.

I was able to put a 100 mic directly off the back of the pump and a 10mic directly on the front of the pump..I hope it helps.
