That is very untrue to what you are saying.

Base package includes housing(any width), Strange nodular center section with a spool and choice of gear, 31-35 spline Strange axles w/ street bearings and 2" metric or SAE studs, chromemoly double adjustable torque arm with crossmember for your application. all necessary hardware is included as well. This is 2650.00 shipped.

An we assemble all center sections before they ship. We can also assemble the housing completely and ship it out that way. We would just need backing plates to do so.

That sounds like a lot for that setup. Doesnt sound like hes telling you all the add ons he ordered with it. He mustve got it powdercoated & a PST aluminum driveshaft too then. I can tell you this much: What I ordered is similar to it but I added a posi, DS loop, steel DS, 4 ch., black powdercoat & it was still less than that. Nodular center section though.

If he has a spool package from us it is 35 spline(unless he specifically asked for 31 spline to have the option of a posi or truetrac at a later date), and the 4.11's are included in the price(unless he upgraded his gear set) but as you stated he upgraded to an aluminum center which means he most likely upgraded the support and yoke as well. The back brace is something else he upgraded to an by the price I am assuming he most likely got some suspension pieces along with a drive shaft to get up that high.

All though I could be wrong as there is many different combination's we can put together but our base package with a housing, torque arm, cross member, axles, spool, and Strange nodular center section is $2700 shipped. (depending on location)

MWC for the win...... enough said.... Eric is very knowledgable and very helpful on the phone. His customer service is second to none. You cannot beat the price for what you are getting. A fabricated nine is 100 times better than a cast 9" housing. His TA is unbelievable to boot. Much stronger and lighter than anything out there.

Bumping this thread up. Looking into buying a rear VERY SOON. Anyone running their Ford center sections (not Strange)? I'm a cam only car, and the most this car will probably ever have is heads/cam and a small shot, and will spend 99.9% of it's life a street car.. I'm looking to get the best bang for the buck here, not spend a ton. I'm actually thinking about the Burkhart fabbed housing and a Ford center section from QP's site..

Yes, I would love a MWC, but I'm weighing all options here. Need answers.

I love my qp rear. Still no whine at all. 2,000 for bullet proof parts. Strange s case with billet support, 35 spline chrome Molly spool, 4.30 gears, 35 spline loser axles.

I've been reading your posts.. it sounds like a good thing. My 10 bolt is limping, I've been looking at spending 6-800 on my 10bolt rebuilding, but for that price i can score a housing, and im half way to a 9"... I can't spend $3000 for a fabbed one, I got bills too! Under $2000 is doable.

Any opinion on using a Ford center section?

I DD with the spool been in rain many times no problems. You just get a little shake from tires spinning as slow speeds on corners.

Ford center section will work. Yu just need to specify that when ordering axles.

Be careful with a stock 9" center section. I blew one apart with a 350rwhp lt1 on 255/50 et street radials on a prepped track.
Here's the pics:

Stock (busted) vs. Strange pro series:

For the extra $300 or so, I'd ante-up for atleast a strange S case. I've seen one go 9.1's in a turbo car, and 9.3's in a nitrous car with no issue (non backbraced stamped steel moser unit too)

Why would you go ask moser since you do not even have a clue about the differences maybe they will help you since you are clueless when it comes to rearends. You do remember screwing up the axles too!
Steve can you think of what you did right? I think if it was right you had to have bought it from someone!
