Well, for one you should mention what gears you currently have.

Secondly, a stock sized tire is 25.7" in diameter. The size you mentioned is 28" in diameter. That is a decent jump. A 28" tall tire with 3.73s is basically the same final drive ratio as a completely stock gear/tire sized car (3.42's with 25.7" tire).

EDIT: At 60, your speedometer is reading roughly 5mph too slow. You are actually going 65.

Tools I used for calculations:

I forgot you are auto. I am not 100% sure on how to calculate what gears you should run with the taller tire since you have to allow for a certain amount of slip in the torque converter. I am a T-56 guy myself (if you could not tell by my name) so I have never had to calculate that. Depends on how much power you make, if you are spraying, etc. etc. We had a local out here that ran a 4000 stall with 3.73 gears and 26" tall slicks, with just headers he would lift a tire on the launch. I am assuming you are not making crazy power, so with the 28" tall tire you could probably get away with 4.10 gears. Really depends how much highway driving you do and such though. With that gearing setup and proper suspension I could definitely see you scraping a 1.4x 60' though.

Sounds like your car is not producing the power it should. With a 1.88 60' I ran a 7.65 in the 1/8th. If I could pull a mid 1.7 I bet I would running like a 7.3/7.4 in the 1/8th. Sounds like you need a tune or something along those lines. You ever put your car on the dyno?

No I haven't got it in a dyno just street tune but my tuner hasn't had time to tune since I did header swap and its throwing rear 02 and egr since I no longer have them and ran it like that so u think I should be faster even with the 3.23 and 28 tire
