Default how much to replace axle bearings, wheel bearings?

I think the noise i have is that, only happens once the car is a bit warmed up and on slow takeoffs and coming to a stop with the rotation of the wheel though. I just want to know the ballpark for labor?

I would have to say $150.00-$200.00 for parts, labor, and oil.

What kind of noise is it? Does it sound like a whine when you leave from a stop? Because that's what mine is doing....

It sounds ridiculous, but if it is a low frequency noise (not a squeak but more of a whomp whomp whomp sound), check your tires for staggering and/or rotate them to troubleshoot it first.

Staggered tire wear causes this type of noise.

By staggered wear I mean the top rear of one tread block is higher than the front of the next one. Happens to the front tires when your alignment is a little off. Cars that are technically in spec for alignment can do this, and it can happen very quickly (just a couple thousand miles) on cars that are off.

No, the axle bearings will cut into the axles and then the flange could break off. I have only seen this one time in a Mid 80's Dodge Ramcharger towing another truck on an open trailer with low oil in the rear axle.

are the bearings wear items, i changed my fluid around 12k miles ago. Its only from taking off from a stop at sub 10mph speeds then you can't hear it anymore. Also when slowly slowing down it will do it. Like if i take off on hill and roll, it makes the sound with the rotation of the tire.

Default Same problem

I bet you have a bad spot on your axle. I just replaced mine yesterday. I used to have the same type of whine as you, I opened up my rear at work , and there it was the bearing had thrown a link, and because of the axle not being centered, I had a flat spot on my axle so I attempted to just do the bearing, and smooth out the axle but it was quieter but not perfect, so I replaced the axle and now all I hear is my GOODYEARS burning up the road. So more than likely your axle will be worn, but even if its not you should go ahead and replace it for $80.00. It will save you about $200.00 in the long run
