Who can intall them though. From one of the other threads on C5, There is only a couple places in the country that has the proper tools to install these. That was the reasoning behind one vendor selling the entire pumpkin only.

any qualified tech that has installed gears before and know's what they are doing can install these gears,, there are no majic tools to too put this rear end together, if your gear installer has the proper measuring tools and can do ring and pinion swaps in gm IFS diff's they shouldnt have any issuse with the camaro diff.

That was my thinking as well but ADM said differently. In his reply to the RPM pumpkin sale, he stated that LPE sells the gears only and that if you want them installed, they will refer you to RPM since they are the closest ones to them that can actually install them properly. I know NOTHING about gear installs but this is what was passed on by a fairly reputably performance shop.

This is the quote from ADM:

[LPE IS NOT SELLING PUMPKINS FOR A CENT LESS.

LPE has GEAR SETS for $795. From what I understand Rodney (RPM Transmissions) is the only company that has the PROPER equipment to SET the gears in our pumpkins. Our pumpkin is only shared with one other platform and it is in Australia.

Time will tell. Hopefully they won't be as bad as they are being reported to be. Then, hopefully the price will drop.
