I wonder if this would fit an LS2 GTO drivetrain? 2010 camaro comes with an LS7 clutch if I'm thinking straight and this is interchangable......

Does this clutch need to be shimmed?

The clutch will bolt to the crankshaft, but we've never mocked it up to determine bellhousing clearance or slave cylinder spacing.

So whats the skinny here? If it goes on the vette, goes on the new Camaro, Why wont it install into an older f-body LS1? Am I missing something or have you simply not tried bolting one in? Thanks Jason

The C6 Z06 I installed one in needed a shorter clutch actuator (ZR1). Probably by an inch or so, not sure if it would just drop into a 4th gen as easily as the newer vehicles.

The clutch will bolt to any 6 bolt LS crankshaft. The key is the slave cylinder spacing. You must use the ZR1 slave. We have the spacing worked out for the C6 and 5th gen Camaro, but not for any other vehicles. We looked into the C5 and there was not enough space. Too much space is good because you can just make a slave cylinder spacer, but without enough space there is not much you can do with the stock ZR1 slave.

Okay so does the overall flywheel to ZR1 slave measurement exceed or come in under a stock LS1 fly-slave dimension? This sounds like it could be cake. A spacer is no big deal at all

If you put the two assemblies on a table the ZR1 clutch's finger height would be higher than the stock LS1.

Okay but by how much? Whats the slave dimension difference? Is the total height of the twin disk assembly; flywheel, disk, plate and ZR1 slave taller or shorter than the total height of a stock LS1 flywheel, disk, plate, LS1 slave?

I don't know those dimensions. I just know the distance from the rear face of case to slave cylinder mounting is the same as the C5, which is too short. That's all you need to know.

Question about this ZR1 slave, got any pics of it? Also is it badass? Will it work for an f-body?

I don't have any pictures of the slave. Right now we don't have a version for the 4th Gen Camaro.
