Default The Lingenfelter 455 TA

Another interesting modded Camaro to be shown at SEMA...I think that it looks great in the drawings, hopefully the final product looks this good.
--------------------------------------------

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) has made a name for itself by modifying all sorts of vehicles, but since day one, their bread and butter has been General Motors products. Lingenfelter Corvettes are among the most well known high performance Vettes, and we knew that it was only a matter of time before LPE got their hands on a new Chevrolet Camaro. Last week, we got word that there would be a modified 2010 Camaro at the SEMA Show, but last night I received word about something that may prove to be even more interesting.

Since we knew that there would be a “new” Camaro, people have been demanding the return of the Trans Am, even in the wake of GMs announcement to shut down Pontiac. Yesterday, a friend of mine emailed me a set of drawings of the ‘new Lingenfelter Trans Am’ – a super-modified 2010 Chevy Camaro designed to emulate the style and performance of the 1971 Pontiac Trans Am. My first thought was that this could be the clever design of a skilled photoshop artist, so I checked with my contacts from Lingenfelter and this morning their public relations group verified that this is indeed a Lingenfelter released set of drawings of their new LPE 455 TA. (check the gallery for the artwork)

I wish they would just let it rest. If its not a real one, why bother. I am even a Pontiac guy.

those wheels are a little much...but compared to the size of the wheel openings, im thinking that the rim size is a little exaggerated in the drawings...

I would have to agree that between the cost of the car, the drivetrain modifications, and the body changes, youd probably be spending close to 100k...
