It's got very aggressive gearing, a suspension tuned for dragging and a few hundred pounds on the camaro... I'd hope it could beat the camaro!

Personally as a die hard camaro fanboy, I think the 5.0 is badass. They got the auto to hit mid 12s... No auto camaro that I know of has hit mid 12s. One got 12.8, but nowhere near the 12.5x run the auto 5.0 hit.

It's going to be a very very interesting coming months, imo. Can't wait for Chevys answer back to the 5.0. (Please make the 2012 SS have more aggressive gearing I don't like this 2nd place stuff!)

actually the new 5.0 is 3600lbs and the camaro is 3850... anyways I would say its a drivers race. The new stang is a nice ride for sure!! The sad thing is even with all this new technology out, the 4th gen ls1 is still the best bang for the buck. All this added weight is killing gm's new found power. My car in sig is only 3250, so it does with 350whp, what the 5th gen will do with 400whp. Thats the part that kills me about the 5th gens...
