Default Yenko Camaro and aftermarket stuff...

I believe that it would be a good idea to bring names back with the new Camaro, why not a Yenko or Copo or some of the old cool names in the past. Also, companies like SLP need to pay attention to what GM will offer to start selling cool aftermarket parts. It almost feels as if we were losing time waiting for the new camaro to come out, so I hope that I won't take very long to get a collection of aftermarket toys. GM, hurry the **** up and don't give us a decent engine in the camaro, give us a damn legend. Just like when the Ls1 came out to show the whole world what we had. SLP and others, give us the stuff that we need to show the wold what a GM monster can do.

As awesome as it woud be to have an LS3, I don't think we're going to get it with all these new legislations about greenhouse junk. It's just like in the 70's, when Chevrolet banned engines over 400cid.

Yenko was a "private" label on the cars. COPO was a internal GM acronym for Central Office Production Order. They could easily bring that term back, but they'd have to iron out all the red tape and legal stuff to use the Yenko name.

Yeah, the Yenko family sold it long ago, and it has since moved and switched brands.
It's Yenko in name alone, pretty sad.

I think a YENKO tribute car would be an awsome idea. Im sure the family would be more than happy to allow the name to be put on the car. Im sure if GM did it it would be a very expensive package but it would still be cool with an LS7. You have to admit, it would be a great way to rally the camaro fans around the 5th gen to take on the Shelby GT500.

They should also make a limited prod. run of the ZL-1 and make it top dog. That would be awesome as I believe they only made 1 in '69. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yup...

http://www.yenkohonda.com/

I actually saw a billboard for Yenko Honda the last time I was driving up to Pittsburgh, on I-79. This is before I knew they switched to Honda. I was like, WTF?!!?!

they made 69, but if i am not wrong, the made 1 (possibly 2 but only one was sold) 69 corvette zl-1. I just read that somewhere like a month ago, but I don't remember where.

it would be nice to see a yenko, or a new iroc or rs, or a baldwin motion version. Also word is that Saleen is looking over at GM and I think they can do wonders on the new Camaro

guys why put a name like that on a car thats already gonna be high priced that name on it will add more to the price and what if the yenko additions didnt live up to the name then it would go down as a marketable blunder. i just want the car to kick *** out of the box with no names on it that is gonna make me pay more because of its name.
