ZL-1 camaro 1/4 times !
just got home from the grocery store and glanced at the road&track (i think) at the mag stand. They compared the nissan gt-r to the new supercharged 580hp super camaro. Sit down first then check this out. 12.9 at 113 !!?? What thu!!!
Is that a joke or what? The nissan went something like 11.3! What the hell did the General do to make that thing soooo slow?

Yea that article was a test in way less than ideal conditions and they could never get the Camaro hooked up. I just scanned the write-up to see the acceleration and didnt read the whole thing. There was alot more feedback over on the carbed LSX forum on the topic when I posted up over there if anyone wants to check it out.

Or i can take a step back and stick with slp's model of the zl1 that will use the ls7 and make 750hp. Aas well as the fact that the gt500 is outsourced to shelby and not a true mustang where as the original zl1 is all chevy

4200 lbs...with camaro badges. the heaviest 2nd gen wasnt even close to that. chevy dropped the ball BIGTIME with the 5th gen.
not a mustang fan by far but the new ones with the coyote 5.0 are no ****** joke with boltons.
they need to stop using names that meant something to people if they are going to keep putting them on crap.

Ok so the camaro zl1 is 380 lbs hheavier than the gt500 and its kind of sad that i watched a 2000 ss camaro *** rape a 2013 5.0 mustang and all the camaro had was a cam headers and exhaust but as i stated that stable rented pony is still gonna have less horsepower than the slp zl1 and 380 lbs isnt enough to make up for 100hp difference. Yes i know the new camaros are junk compared to the 1st and 2nd gen counterparts whose name their taking but they still beat ford eveery day of the week
Also its sad that the first words back in 2010 when the new mustangg came out from ford was its the ls killer so congrats ford you finally have a car that beat a 13 year old motor

wait till your boy lines up with a well setup and driven coyote... there was one with boltons and a very small shot going bottom 10's at the rental i went to a few weeks ago.
people are already making 1000+ with them,supercharged,stock cams, stock intake mildly ported heads and a fuel system.
dont sleep on those cars. thats all i am saying. they just came out and they are already making stupid hp numbers with minumal effort.

Well i mean the guy that owns the shop i have do my work has a 91 formula with an ls7 supercahrged that puts 750 to the rear wheelss runnin high 9s and thats without any major mods to the motor besides the supercharger. His current setup plus 5 or 6k and itd be over 1000 sowe can talk mods and bol ons all day im talking from the manufacturer and whos puttin out the best production car stock

Alright never said it was stock and lets look at this he paid around 8k for the camaro add in the minimal modds and youre up to maybe 11k spent. Now how much does a 2013 5.0 cost? No less than 40k im sure so with mmy boys remaining 30k he saved by not buying a peice of **** ford he can make that camaro into something ford will only dream about ever having and who gives a **** whether youre impressed by those numbers you bring up that the 5.0 can run low 10s with bolt ons the zl1 did the same thing with a mild tune and drag slicks. Oh and ill go back to my boys camaro one last time for ***** and giggles he makes 360 to the rear wheels the shitstang dynod at 379 so its obviously still too ******* heavy so chevy isnt thee only ones making really expensive paperweights

come on dude, the LS1 has been wrecking the mustang for 13 years...like its not even been a competition. finally they have a great motor. GM is working on their DOHC motor to compare to the coyote. lets see where it goes.
