Default bolt-on 5th gen run

Ran last Friday night, temp was 81* and DA was at 2240'. Best 60' I've ever had on street tires. I did run 12.7@110 stock but DA was at sea level and it was 42*. Time converts to 12.29@116.4

Didn't look over at the other car. I'm not really a conversion guy either, just using for reference to what it ran stock in perfect conditions. For the few mods it has I'm OK with it but not ecstatic.

I just hate correcting times, it's a pet peeve I have. I think I was able to either just dip or almost dip into the 1.8's on stock pirelli's. It actually helps if you heat them a bit too.

I'm not either but the fact remains it ran in the 13.10 area at 109 in 80 degree weather and 12.7-12.8 at 111 in 40 degree weather. Its just on here as a learning tool not because I think the 5th is a drag queen, its not. Its way more an overall package then the 4th but the 4th is more suited to drag work.

Gears are a must, just worried about all the breakage stories. I still go thru in 3rd.

I would always hit the rev limiter in 3rd before the stripe and it would cost me about 2/10's over short shifting into 4th.

Yes, stock I'd hit the limiter probably a car length from the end and I would stab the clutch pedal and coast thru.

Could be, on that pass I held it down as I went thru and it hit the limiter right after the stripe so 6500 could be the case.

About 300-400 rpms short of the redline, short shift 4th and I guarantee you'll pick up a little bit.
