damn that is very impressive..
i see comments from mustang fanboys on there all happy that the supercharged gt500 was miliseconds ahead of the n/a camaro..
supercharged vs supercharged drag/track lets see who wins then

I think its impressive that its only a .1 difference. With the title of the video, I thought it was going to be more than a second difference. For the price difference Id rather pump up the LS3 than already have a motor thats been pushed close to its limits.

I think that is a good representation of what to expect in a street race. On a track, the GT500 will be faster and probably pull ahead sooner. Then again we haven't seen the best times out of the camaro yet. For the price difference, it is defnitely closer than the Ford boys want it to be.

Give the 2010 SS camaro the same amount of boost and see who wins lol or just swap the cam lol. Even better drop the $16k in the SS Camaro and that would be funny.

I've always loved the arguement well let me put the price difference into my car and see who is faster. Hell take a gt500 and drop 20grand in it and see it walk all over a z06. Also drop top bird the gt500 motor is no where close to being maxed out.

i love both cars, camaro definately looks meaner.. but the two cars are in two different leagues. the gt500 just needs a pulley/tune/drag radials and its a low 11sec sleeper. the camaro needs cam/fullexhaust/intake/dragradials/dynotune to stay up with that and people are going to hear you driving up from a mile away in the camaro.

Stock for stock, the GT500 is a better car in every measurable way. I was just pointing out that it's a lot more expensive, and as such, it isn't a fair comparison.

I have seen several 600+ RWHP GT500's around that seem almost stock. GM should have definitely planned on an LS9 Camaro. Hopefully some day because it will be difficult to compete with the purpose built forced induction engine in the Ford.

I think a fair comparison will be the 2011 gt with the new 400hp motor. However it will still be a few grand less than the camaro.

I dont see how you think its still going to be less expensive than the camaro. A Premium GT with Track Pack lists at 35k. You think that a new 5.0 motor want push that price near 40k? Granted, its worth the price, but dont think the mustang is going to be less than the Camaro with the new engine.
