thats not what i was saying at all GM will never build anything in any of their cars that will be faster than the fastest vette of any givin year. case in point is the pontiac fiero, pontiac first plans were to make the corvette killer fiero. that didnt happen and look what happened to those cars.
Second point is that GM has never and will never put the best motor in anything other than a vette(ex old carb427, cfi350, lt5, lt4, ls6,).
Third the new camaro's will be built on the new zeta platform(i think) in which they will be heavy, very heavy. And the aerodynamics of the new camaros will be no where near the vettes.
All im saying LSA is a motor that i would have over LS7 for top of the line Camaro

LSA > LS7....anyday. You can't appreciate the smooth multi-faceted power of a proper blown V8 until you've been behind the wheel of one. The LS7 is pretty much a tapped out motor. Yea, you can pick up some nice gains from bolt-ons....but that's it without having to build it. With the LSA, however, the skies the limit.

Saw my first Challenger on the road Tuesday............orange with the black CF hood stripes. Sweeeet. I was surprised to see one so soon. Heavy pig, for sure.......but just a downright awesome boulevard cruiser. Good looks...decent power (SRT8). Too bad about the mpg. But then again, this isn't a Prius we're talkin about.

The V8 models have different transmissions, wheels/tires(17" on V6, 20" on SRT8 that right there could be 100lbs difference), suspension, brakes, sound system, can you see it adding up now?

Everytime I see a new challenger I keep seeing how much of a whale they are...they're horrible IMO.
The SRT-8 I raced was really slow too.....unimpressive in every aspect

not much to talk about. We all knew that do to the wieght of the new challenger, and the same drivetrain that has already been in use with the magnum, charger and 300c srt-8, we already had a rough idea of what the performance would be, so no surprise if they get whooped all the time
