Using the '69 as the inspiration...I'd bet the base v8 has a engine is rated at 425hp (which was the copo car's rating). ZL1's were rated at 430. If it IS 425 horsepower...I need a PM from someone in GM that wants to give me a marketing job.

Because you KNOW Ford is going to give Mustang GT's that kind of power for $25K. Get real dude, GM is going to make a pure competitor for the Stang this time around, like the 1st and 3rd gens were. 435 hp is not feasible for ANY $25k sedan, much less a coupe. I'm not saying that I don't like that idea, but I honestly don't think it is feasible.

Heck,GM could bury the Mustang in sales if they put the new Direct Injected V6 motor that's in the CTS as a low cost option for those peeps that don't want the big V8's! They make as much power (304 bhp) as the Ford V8's that are in the Stangs now with two less cylinders!
I voted for the LS7 just because that car would be SICK!!
I'd like mine in Cadillac Diamond White pearl with an A6 with paddle shifters on it and a 3.73 posi rear end (eaton LSD or whatever they call them now)!
Not going to happen, but I can dream!

then you could throw in a nissan gtr with 480hp it will kill and evo if all the specs are correct either way its great to be a consumer with horsepower wars going on, can't lose with any of the choices with tuners out there

haha yeah but that car costs way way way too much. but yes it is great to have obtainable power at our hands now. too bad state laws are cracking down on street racing, you wont believe what will happen to uu if caught in illinois. license and car gone forever

It is a great car, but they are overpriced if you just want speed. The new X is priced in the high 30s and runs mid/high 13s. I know you can mod them and all that, but then they just become unreliable, unwarrantied, clutch-eating monsters. That said, I still want an IX for my beater car.

I disagreed about something minor on that site. My post was removed. I asked why on the thread it was removed and that post was removed. I sent a PM to the Texas mod who is basically a cop who loves to taser people. He is frustrated since he can not figure out how to zap people on the PC. His response to my PM was this is my site and it will be run the way I like. I read every thread and modify anything I do not like or remove it. After that PM I never went back there, found this site and never looked back.

i would honestly take a Challenger, but i woudl go for one of the SS models!
and for those that don't know what SS is for MoPar it's their Super Stock verisons!
