I guess I would have to take the GT500 over even the LS7 camaro because of how bad the car looks in those pics. I really hope they make some changes to the way the car looks.

Some easy predictions: the Camaro will outperform both but will come in 3rd in sales. The HEMI-powered Challengers will never sell at MSRP during this body style's run. The Mustang will still dominate in sales and street presence (and for that matter, in track presence as well).
Stand up behind your boys, people, and you'll get what you want: the fastest, best bang for the buck LS2-powered pony car. But there's no getting around the fact that it will live and die by the sales of the V6 model...

I voted challenger. All the old school looks with the feel of a late model. We'll see what the convertibles look like for both cars. I would go with a convertible camaro if it looks as good as the photochop thats going around just because I have one already.

I don't think the ls7's going to make it into the Camaro...JMO but I'd rather see a supercharged LS2 or LS3 in the engine bay...especially if can save a few bucks on the sticker..
fwiw..out of the three....? the camaros the best...then the challenger with the mustang following both of them...

The New Camaro is looking good. I'd maybe change the front a little, but so far so good. GM needs to hire some better interior designers. I hope they don't go retro on the interior like that. The interiors sucked back then, so why copy them?
The Vettes have an okay interior, but the 4th gen Camaro has an interior that a 4 year old and a tupperware salesman put together. C'mon guys, if you own one, you know.
So all they need to do is hire some interior designers from Honda, BMW, or almost any other auto maker and make it perfect.
Oh, and put a forged LS2 with blower and make it weigh about 3400 lbs. or less.

3400 lb and 500 HP would be a 6.8 lbs per HP ratio. That would be a great point to market. The new Z06 is 6.2, the Ford GT 6.3, the Gallardo 6.3, the GT2 6.6, the F430 6.6, the Viper 6.8 (newish vert), and the Vanquish S 7.9. Those are some rather heady peers...Would make for nice marketing...

Yeah, an LS7 would be way better but highly unlikely, unless they make a low production SS or ZL1 model with one. Then I imagine it will command a pretty stout price tag.
I was thinking they could do a blown + forged LS2 way cheaper than an LS7 and still get the same goal accomplished. But don't get me wrong I voted for the LS7

Chevy will not allow the GT500 to trump all camaro's. Thus, an LS7 will happen at a Cobra-esque price. Plus, Lutz hinted at it. And, an LS7 should be called a Z28, to invoke its racing heritage...

I will reserve judgement on the Camaro untill we see a more production ready version. And see if they offer the LS7 in it at all. Right now my money is leaning toward a Challenger

i see where you all are goin with the camaro being to concept, but what concept car is not too concept. say challenger and i agree, but the challenger is closer to production than the camaro. diamler chrysler had more time to work the challenger. if you recall the camaro concept almost didnt make it to the NAIAS. so i say there is a lot of the camaro concept that wont make it to the production model. and i for one hope one of thoes things is the IRS and thoes shitty *** 21 and 22 inch wheels. with a simple solid rear axle and some sensible sized wheels that would drop the price by about 2k. it just needs some more refinement and some sensibility. i mean come on, do you knwo how much it would cost in tires alone. 22's are not cheap and with our heavy foots...........come on.
