Exclamation 2010 Camaro Gas fill up on wrong side

Why did GM put the gas fill up on the passenger side of the car? Most GM cars/trucks are on the drivers side , much easier to fill up at a gas station. You get out and its right there.

Can anyone make sense of this?

My old Grand Am had it on the passenger side and you would be surprised how much faster it is to fill up at the stations when they are busy because the lack of cars that have it on the passenger side.

Plus is walking around the back or front of the car and taking an extra 2 seconds really worth complaining about?

Something about making it more of a global car then a US car. Most countries drive on the other side of the road with the driver on the other side of the car.

We're weird.

Our Mercedes has it on the passenger side. It's not a hassle at all as long as you don't forget.

That's why they put the little arrow next to the gas gauge on new cars, notifys the driver of which side the gas door is on.

I think its because the blinker fluid reservoir is on the right side and they needed to move the gas fill up to the passenger side.

Idiot

It has nothing to do with that. I was mostly due to muffler bearing placement...you need to be able to repack them regularly.

No ****! Now you have to get out and take three extra steps AROUND the car!!! **** me! You'll probably lose an extra 10 pounds just having to walk that much farther to fill up the new Camaro!

You'll probably wreck like 10 times trying to get the passenger's side lined up to the pump, too!

Actually, my Mustang had it's fill up on the drivers side, too. :@ So no go on the Fordmaro. Anyways, I think this actually looks a bit better than the one on the concept did. I wasn't a huge fan of the lift-up gascap on the pillar.

Doesn't matter to me.
My Camaro is on the left, my GTP is on the left, my Grand Am was on the right.
I really don't care which side it's on.

Screw this crap, if the gas filler is on the right side I AM NOT BUYING THIS CAR!!!!!!

In all seriousness, who cares what side its on? Better for some people who park to close and bang there door at the pump or something.

I like the gas cap on the right side for ^ that reason. You can pull close to the pump and open your door as far as you want to. I've wished mine was on the right about a hundred times while crawling/squeezing out of my TA with it's long *** door against the pump.

True...it is on the driver's side on the current Mustang.

It was on the passenger side on the fox based Mustangs.

So... maybe it is the Foxordmaro
