Need 1/4 mile time info on BONE STOCK 98-02 LS1 F-Bodies & 93-97 LT1 F-Bodies ASAP!!
Like the title says, I need 1/4 mile info on bone stock 98-02 LS1 F-Bodies aswell as 93-97 LT1 F-Bodies.
Reason being 2 of my good friends are Mustang owners and we got into a few arguments in the past about what an F-Body can run bone stock. Last night we got into a pretty big drunk argument and it really set it off this time....they really called me out on times I claimed about F-Bodies and when I woke up this morning they had times for a 98 Formula and a 93 Trans-Am put up on the background of my computer. It has listed that the best time a stock LS1 F-Body ran was a 13.9.....yes 13.9. And the best time they had listed for the LT1 was a 14.8.
Now I have made claims in the past, some pretty extreme but only being because they really got me going and I went with the absolute best I heard. I told them there have been BONE STOCK LS1 F-Bodies that have managed to get into the 12's BONE STOCK. Im not talked 12.5 or anything, but high 12's. I KNOW for a fact I have seen plenty of stock LS1's on here that have ran 12's stock. They don't believe me because the best I managed with my runs at the track and with my mods was a 13.09 @ 111 MPH. They claim my average was around a 13.4 which is bullshit. I was averaging around a 13.2-13.3 all day. I think I ran a 13.4 one or two times out of I believe more then 12 runs. I had on mis-matched street tires aswell which they don't seem to recall either.
Also I have seen somewhere posted on here that someone managed to get a BONE STOCK LT1 F-Body to run a 13.7. I am not 100% if that is true or not since I don't really read up on LT1's, but that is what I told them from what I have read somewhere on this forum.
They are also trying to tell me how a Mach 1 bone stock will best an LS1 F-Body bone stock...I know its a good race, but I have always seen the advantage going to the F-Body.
SO PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY TIMESLIPS, PHOTOS, VIDEOS, EXPERIENCE, WITNESSED A BONE STOCK 98-02 LS1 F-BODY GETTING 12'S OR A 93-97 LT1 F-BODY GETTING 13'S PLEASE POST UP!
I will be showing them this thread, hopefully it will clear up some stuff.

weather causes bad times here for some reason, but i saw a bone stock auto ws-6 run 13.6-13.7 at 105.5 and my car by the previous owner ran about the same. i think in more favorable conditions low thirteens is very possible. they may have been quoting times from a car with a not so perfect driver/not so perfect weather/less then stellar track prep. all are deciding factors in times run.

If you do some research, I'm sure you can find the article in GMHTP with Evan Smith running a 12.89 (or was it 12.98?) in a bone stock '98 Z M6 car.
Very high 12s are the fastest recorded stock times for LS1 F-bodies. On average, they will run low-mid 13s stock. Of course, any M6 car is only as good as the driver, but if you look at the times for A4 cars you'll see very consistant mid-low 13s.
