Default Is this possible?

Okay there is a guy here with an ls1 ws6. He obviously has a cam, and bolt-ons and says that he has heads as well. I am not 100% on what he had, I didn't get to look at the car. He also said it had forged internals. Now this is my problem, he claims to be making 520rwhp. Is that a possiblity for a stock displacement ls1 with a h/c combo and forged internals and bolt-ons? Sorry I don't have a lot more details other than that. No power adders. Anybody?

500+ with no turbo supercharger or nitrous on stock displacement, damn sure don't sound easy to me lol.

it is far fetched in most cases, it takes a LOT of knowledge to put together a package that will put down 500 to the wheels N/A on a stock displacement LS1. One thing to think about is, he may be stock displacement, but is he stock compression ratio? If he changed the pistons for forged ones, he would have been smart to up that CR

If he is putting down 520 to the wheels on stock cubes with no power adder that is a serious accomplishment to say the least. There's a few guys that have over 500rwhp but not even sure if anyone has broken 520rwhp. I'm going to go out on a thick limb and call

You're probably right, I'd call the BS flag as well on 90 percent of the 500 hp claims out there, but there are a few that are legit.

I don't know the guy so I can't make a call as to whether he's legit, but I can say it has been done, albeit VERY few times before. You're talking top of the line everything with every single bolt-on known to the LSX community, tuned perfectly.

Oh yeah, and a shitload of luck that you just happen to have one of the healthiest running Fbodies anyone's ever seen.

That's really tough **** to do. I would believe 520 horsies at the crank no problem, but at the rear wheels, that's rough. Ask for some video or pics of his **** on the dyno throwing it down. Not calling this dude a liar, but some people just spout fake #s in trying to impress somebody and not expecting them to call their BS.

500 at the wheels means more like 560-80 at the crank thats pretty intense, that cam would have to be HUGE and heads hogged the **** out. Then you got ur dyno tricks such as he was prolly running a 6speed and a 10 bolt, which are relatively easy to spin

Has anyone reached 520rwhp with stock cubes and NA? Got dyno graphs?

That's more like 600fwhp if you consider a consevative 15% drivetrain loss.

If I had a "500" horsepower car I wouldn't even say anything, I'd just post the dyno sheet results and list the 'mods. It's really easy to say you've got "x" and then watch everyone scramble around trying to either believe or disprove you...

a zr1 was taken to the dyno and made a little over 500 on a review so this is more like 650 crank horsepower, id guess.
