What is the big name in aftermarket exhaust today?
5-10 years ago I think we would have all agreed that Flowmaster was the biggest name in aftermarket exhaust....They may not have performed well, but everybody bought them anyways. The more and more I think about it, it just seems like Flowmaster has fallen to the wayside....Who is taking their place? I'm not talking about "what is the nicest"....I'm talking about "who is the name that everybody immediately thinks to buy? OE replacement, catbacks, the typical modder. My curiosity has gotten the best of me, and sadly enough I couldn't really come up with a solid answer myself

From my experience at various exhaust shops around my area there has been more advertising for magnaflow than others from what I have seen. I think it comes down to this; Magnalow fits alot of applications and is a middle of the road alternative between high end and low end products so it sells well with enthusiasts. There are higher quality, more aggressive setups but that doesn't mean they are the biggest name out there. I bet the majority of people you talk to have never heard of gmmg or bassani, but they still deliver great products.

I didn't see corsa on that poll, they are pretty well known for their high end stuff and are very popular on Vettes.
That being said, I still think Magnaflow and Flowmaster are the two most well known and two best selling companies. Flowamster makes some pretty nice stuff, its just that their fbody catback doesn't flow worth a damn and is maybe good for 1-3 rwhp over stock.

magnaflow is probably more common on LS1s and later model cars, but nearly all classic muscle runs flowmaster. look under any street rod, true muscle, truck, off road rig, hauler, etc....9 out of 10 its a flowmaster.

I voted Magnaflow. I agree with everyone that said Magnaflow is spending the money on advertising.
I've had Borla, Flowmaster, MAC, BBK, Dynomax, and one or two others but would be seriously looking into Magnaflow if I were buying now. Most of my vehicles were bought with a catback or custom setup on them and I didn't see the need to change them.

I'm gonna say Pacesetter with their headers. A solid 75% of the f-body owners I know have Pacesetter headers. If we're just debating catback then I'm gonna say Flowmaster, haha.
