Default My brand newish 1998 Sport Gold Metallic T/A

Picked up this SGM T/A last Friday for 5k, after selling my 00 WS6. Its 100% stock, A4 with 2.73s, no major problems just a few tiny flaws it now has 112K.

Took it to the track last night and had a best of 13.82 @ 104.5, with a 2.12 60'.

Thanks guys! I did get a pretty good deal, I drove 4 hrs to oregon for it. It was on autotrader for awhile but I wasnt sure about the color and the drive. The SGM is amazing tho on of my favorite colors pictures don't do it justice.

And for 5k I got 1 of 235 ever made!

Amazing deal. I know this is BS for right now but give it 15-20 years and that will be one of the rare cars that people DREAM over having.

Dude hold on to her, that ones going to be a tough one to come by VERY soon. I am also impressed that it ran that! I hear everywhere that the 98's are slower than the 99-02.

I was very impressed by the time too! I just put on a cat back today.

The car was in an accident tho, but it still retains clear title and drives perfectly straight, the lower right front control arm, shock, sway bar have been replaced along with full repaint except rear bumper, there is no bondo on the body though.

Thanks for all the comments guys I fell way better about buying this then my last WS6.

I was thinking about trying to pick that one up off of auto trader. The gold is so much sweeter in person than in a picture. Good steal.

Nice find and a great price. Why did you sell the WS6?

Only way to tell if there is bondo on the car is take a magnet to it. If there is and its a very light strength magnet it wont stick. Dont take the sellers word for it.

Dude, ur not serious are you? The only reason his car ran that was cause it is an A4 with 2.73s! Not because it's a 98. My buddies stock 02 z28 was an A4 with 2.73s and his times were almost identical. Another friend had a 98 SS M6 with 3.42 gears and he was good for low 13s all day. The difference in power is almost not even worth mentioning. But sweet car OP!
