Approaching $30k in mods to a once-factory-v6 96 Firebird.....yeah, I'm attached to the car. There were a few times along the way that I though "Why not just buy a 'Vette?", but this car has been in the family since new....and NOBODY around where I live will have anything like it. It will always continue to receive refinements and evolve, but that's just part of owning a performance car. Not to mention, I will have a 'Vette eventually anyway! LOL And to to OP...no, it does not make me feel like a "rockstar" LOL ....but it will definitely be a whole lot of fun.

all i can say is if you have to ask, you probably dont get it.

my next fun car is probably going to be a porsche 911 but my bird isn't going anywhere.
ill probably be up for the most random car collection, a subaru legacy, T/A and a 911. the worst part is the legacy is probably going to be the most fun to drive too

My 2000 SS was my dad's. Never was much of a Camaro fan except for the 1st gens (had a 69, sold it to go back to college). But when my Dad gave me his Camaro, I was still kind of iffy, until I started working on it, now it's like, something I need to keep forever, in his memory (he still alive, but we don't know how much longer he has)

My car has sentimental value to me. I just wish it was black.

Why would a Subaru Legacy be at all fun to drive...

AWD burnouts...
my car is not your standard legacy. its about half way there to getting the drivetrain out of an wrx/STi into it. considering its lighter than a WRX/ STi, it should be one fun ride. it also handles amazing, now its going to have the power to match the brakes/ suspension, all while keeping the sleeper look i want. car has been paid off since 2002 and needed some engine work so i bought a wrecked wrx to swap everything over to give it abit more pep.
grandma never had it so good

mine isn't going anywhere. its one of the only things i enjoy in life. I don't drive it through the winter because up here cars get torn to **** by the salt they put down and mine is a 2 owner southern car (i'm no 2 that is) and had only seen a light dusting of snow in north carolina when the first owner had it. it came from hawaii and spent barely a year in NC and then the last 4 or 5 years before i bought it in S.FL where i bought it in 04. You don't see many nice 4th gens, especially LT1's around here.

I'll sell mine, but I do love it. Would rather have a C5 or a '10 Camaro/C6, though.

Eh i've driven a C6, ridden in a C5 and sat in a '10 camaro and none were as comfortable as my T/A and i don't think any are as unique. C5/C6 vettes are everywhere and so are the new 10 camaros.

Not sure about the Suburu either but you are right on the money with your 911 choice. May I suggest the 993 model from 1995-1998, the last of the 'air-cooled', 'hand built' models and absolutely unreal to drive.
