Default Speedo is off. How to recalibrate it?

I'm in the process of putting 4.10's in my DD and therefore would like to have an accurate speedometer. It's a Manual, and I may just have a speeding problem.... So my license being on probation, it would make me feel really stupid getting a ticket and losing my license.... again... just cause i don't know excatly how fast i'm going. So please what must be done to recalibrate my speedo for 4.10 gears? Yes it was accurate before with the stock gears

Tune, or handheld to recal the speedo.

If I was you I would talk to Frost & get a mail order tune.

It would be cheaper than a hand held tuner & the tune will
be better.

Lol I know i'm done with speeding, i'm just trying to make sure I don't get a ticket for anything stupid. How much would a dealer charge to do a speedo tune?

Actually, not recalibrating it might help with the tickets since it will show faster than you are actually going. Mine read 2 or 3 mph slower (at 70mph) than I was going and now after the gears it reads 2 or 3 mph faster than I am actually going. I have not bothered to have it changed.

the problem is, the faster you go... the more its off. Its not an actual "its off by X mph", but rather if you have 3.73 from 3.42.... it'll display 1.0906*actual speed or in his case if its 3.42 to 4.10 it'll show him going 1.198*Actual speed. So at 60 mph he will be reading about 71 and at 100 he will be reading 120. where at 60 you will be reading 65 and at 100 you'll be reading 109.

You can usually find the older hand held tuners used for pretty cheap.

Mostly anyone who can tune can take care of you. I do not know about handhelds but HPtuners and EFIlive can do it!
Goodluck!
