Most of the time they have a trap door that you cant get past. If it was me I would just drill a hole in the tank and catch it with a bucket, or four.

It might have a plug on the bottom, but yeah just drill a hole or punch a hole in it.

I have seen someone cut a muffler off and send the sawzall blade through the tank, and then catch the gas with buckets.

I thought about drilling a hole but im worried cuz its a steel tank that the shavings might get to hot and start a fire.

Just drill the hole slow. Or get a brass punch and pierce it like that. Brass wont make a spark

how about jumping the fuel pump relay? i guess it depends on how totaled it is, but if you could get the fuel pump to operate you could disconnect the fuel line and pump the fuel right into a gas can, it might take a little longer but it would be slightly more controlled

I like this idea the best.... cut the fuel line under the car the face it into the bucket. then turn the key to ignition and see if it cranks the gas out.

try hotwiring the pump.... hooking 12v from the battery to the fuel post in the fuse terminal..... or straight to the pump wires if you can find them in the back of the car.

jump a wire from hot side of battery to fuel pump relay. Remove shrader valve from fuel rail and use a 4an hose from rail to can. Ask me how I know.
