hey i just totaled my tahoe and im lookin to sifin all the gas out. the tank is completly full and the tahoe will not roll or drive and it is on a trailer. So i am not able to drop the tank. we tried to stick a hose down in the filler neck but it wont go all the way in. its a 97 tahoe 4 door 4wd if that matters.

Most of the time they have a trap door that you cant get past. If it was me I would just drill a hole in the tank and catch it with a bucket, or four.

how about jumping the fuel pump relay? i guess it depends on how totaled it is, but if you could get the fuel pump to operate you could disconnect the fuel line and pump the fuel right into a gas can, it might take a little longer but it would be slightly more controlled

I like this idea the best.... cut the fuel line under the car the face it into the bucket. then turn the key to ignition and see if it cranks the gas out.
try hotwiring the pump.... hooking 12v from the battery to the fuel post in the fuse terminal..... or straight to the pump wires if you can find them in the back of the car.
