Default Crazy deal my buddy got ss 7 grand

My friend and i work at a toyota dealership and some moron traded in a beautiful Navy Blue Metallic 2001 Camaro SS. Its a genuine ss and has tan leather and chrome y2ks on it. It really is beautiful me being an fbody fanatic and i told my friend who really wanted the car to go for it. it runs and drive like new and has 60k on it. The dealership took it in for 6 grand and he bought it today for 7 grand...... what a steal...

oh for those curious the ******* who traded it in bought a scion tc......

Thats a really good deal same here a ss with that many miles go for about 10 to 11. I paid 9700 for mine with 72,000 and Full exhaust, intake, SF connectors and stb. Mine also had brand new tires drilled rotors and cme also. Does it have the birth cert and stuff?

That sounds like a great steal, but I am wondering why the previous owner is an ******* for wanting a change in cars????

Wow....sounds like a great deal. Going green, lol.....and he buys a scion TC? Not the greenest car out there and definitely not worth getting rid of a nice car for.

The only thing that kills that deal IMO is TAN INTERIOR...lol....thats going to be like easy 1500 bucks to swap it to black.

Good deal for sure. I'm not sure why the dealership didn't mark it up a bit more considering what they paid for it.

That is a great deal. I paid a little less that 8k for my '98 SS w/93,000 miles. It was bone stock, complete with c.a.g.s.

Great deal! Dealers around here would probably ask $12-15k for that car. Private sale it'd probably bring $10-11k if it was super clean. Chicago prices are higher than much of the nation.

I love NBM with tan interior. I would never change that to black. Blue and green cars look killer with tan.

Well, when that Scion decides to accelerate into a wall on its own do you think he'll try to buy his SS back?

For a '98-99 with 80k+...yes. '00+ with lower miles? Nope. That would be an $10k+ car out here.

Not around here they're not. As others have said, that car would easily be 12K at a dealer lot, and I could even see it going for 14ish on the window sticker price.

All of the guys I see driving a Scion TCare the same "men" who:
  • Go tanning
  • Wear designer jeans
  • Gel their hair to a spiked point
  • Listen to hip-hop/techno at full volume, whilst having the cliche sunroof open on said Scion TC
  • Have thick framed black glasses OR white thick framed sunglasses
  • Bake cookies on the weekends
  • Have earrings/other piercings/painted fingernails
  • Wear thong-styled flip flop sandals

**** man thats a great deal! When I bought my car 3 years ago they were asking $18,500.00 for it. A bone stock, fully loaded, hard top 2002 Z28 with 32,000 miles. Mint condition car to! If I remember right I paid almost $17,000.00 with TT&L.

LOL! This is an awesome post.

I know the exact sort of "guys" you're referring to. Sadly I've seen them around here too.....I remember once I had one following me while driving the Nova (it's got a dirty, non-emissions engine ). He was behind me at a stop light, and in my rear-view mirrior I could see him looking at me and making a huge effort at fanning his hand in front of his face because he was offended by my exhaust and wanted me to see this. My wife was with me, so I told her about this girly-man behind us. She told me to rev the motor a couple times to make it worse (I love that woman!). Hope I didn't stink up his expensive jeans and hair too much.
