Thats a HUGE down grade man. When it comes to speed and looks its like night and day the ls1 is so much faster. In my opinion the mustang gt didn't get faster than the ls1 til the new 5.0. I've driven so many mustangs at work including a 98 gt, nothing to brag about. I don't blame you though my car has to be perfect inside and out so the dents would bug the hell out of me but I'd never down grade to a mustang especaiily that year, I'd stay with the ls1, just my .02

Girlfriends are terrable investments. With that being said, do whatever you want to do. Dont let some 17 year old girl influence your decision. What happens when you're out a girlfriend and are stuck with a car that can barely get out of its own way?
I have absolutely NOTHING against mustangs, its just this isnt a goo deal. almost bought a 600whp 04 Cobra when I was vette shopping. Couldnt agree on a price though and he wanted too much.
The LT1 will beat it... Its a low 14 second car. The Mustang is a 15 second car.

Bored with an auto? Save up for a stall, every vehicle ive owned have been manual, even had an m6 99 z and guess what after getting this stalled a4 i wouldnt go back.

Why dont you try and sell off your camaro and find a m6 one? I have a friend with a 98 gt it has longtubes,catless x,slp cat-back, intake, UD, and some other small stuff and a tune and it put down 228 rwhp... Even though its a manuel i doubt you will be happy with the performance. But that is a clean looking one. Atleast go 99-04 GT

lol i think op is lazy and wants a car that has little things his car does not have that the mustang has, ect. decent sound,good paint,stick car..OP i am a newbie but man i know with Lts and a LM1 your **** would sound so great...also with a stall you can eat that gt up by 10 cars all day!!!make sure ur crazy *** GF is in your passenger seat so she can see what camaros are about!!! bro your problem is simple get a new job so you can buy more gooo fast parts!!!lol please dont give up on your ls1!!!!!!

I don't know about being a better rear, it depends on what it's being used for. It's not called the quadrabind by mustang enthusiasts for nothing. It's a poor four link, that is supposedly triangulated so you don't need a lateral locating device. However, it is known to dog leg when pushed, in addition to binding up.
