Just recently swapped an LS1 from a 2000 Z28 into an '86 elcamino. Running Hedman Husler Headers with 3" collectors. Any advice on muffler choice? I love the sound of the borla on my friends '04 CTS-V, but would love any input from anyone who has true duals (with or without an X-pipe). Thanks!!

cant go wrong with either or, borla would be a little louder if im not mistaken but it is rather pricey but its a very good exhaust system, I had it on my old ta and i loved it.. now i use magnaflow on my 98 ss now and it's a good sound and great design but a lil too quiet for me so i got a cutout lol

Borla, I got some Borla xr-1 chambered which is still a flow through design on a x pipe, sounds awesome, if I'd to choose again I would still use the Borla's altough they're kinda big an heavy.

I would run 3" pipe all the way back, the x will smooth out the tone, as for mufflers cherry bomb extreme single chamber muffler is bad *** and flows as good as any borla or magnaflow. now if you want a great tone but want it quiet at idle the magnaflow systems are awesome.

Run 2 1/2 inch true duals with a H-pipe and magnaflow bullets and your are perfect. Great tone and it SCREAMS!!!! at WOT. No need for 3inch at your power level and it will make it more raspy.

I just replaced my magnaflow catback for TSP duals with bullets. Magnaflow doesnt even come close as far as sound, or performance. I wasnt really happy with magnaflow. It is pretty quiet. Its a popular choice on this site cuz its not too loud and its stainless steel. I would go with borla over magnaflow for sure.

I love the sound of flowmasters on a true dual system. My sisters car and I both have Borla CB on them and I think they sound good. I am not a big fan of magnaflow I just don't like the sound they produce.
