Just bought my 3rd ls powered vehicle..13 g/s vette!
I picked up my new 2013 grand sport corvette last weekend.
Its freaking awesome..it makes me wonder why I wasted my time building ls powered 55 chevy and 69 Camaro or any other car I built.
expensive yes but I had $75k in my 72 Camaro and $50+k in my ffr cobra that I had to sell to buy it.
I never even owned anything with a radio or heat except my 2000 z71 so this thing is like a space ship to me.
Its probly faster on the street than my pro street 1200 hp 55 chevy! and gets 20-30 mpg!
I wish I did not even start my ls1 69 Camaro, but now they will both use the same parts but I do not think the ls1 will ever be as good as the ls3 in the vette.

Yes, at least the sponsors (bigger Corvette dealers) on Corvette forum are discounting. All the big places are pricing them to move, ~$10K off sticker is common with highly optioned cars getting $12 and 13K. Probably has a lot to do with having a bunch of Corvettes in stock and, at least previously, the C7 allocation based off of previous C6 sales.
Ross Downing here in Hammond, LA has some C6 1LTs between $43-44K. That's not far from Camaro 2SS pricing depending on how it's optioned and the 1LT has a lot of those options as standard. My `13 GS M6 1LT stickered for $60K (options were red calipers, chrome wheels and full with spoiler) - Preferred pricing was around $54,900, there was $2K GM customer cash, $2K rebate for not using GMAC, and then they were almost down another $700. My final price was $50,275. There was a another GS but a 2LT (added navigation and heads up display) with the same options plus dual mode exhaust for ~$53,900, I forget the sticker price. If I was a previous Vette owner there is/was another $3K rebate available on top of those.
OTOH the local Chevy place has a `13 GS A6 2LT and they start at sticker - $2K GM cash and that's it unless you have a supplier code for preferred pricing or owned a previous Vette for that rebate. I guess that's why they sell 2 or 3 Vettes a year vs. Ross Downing being #8 in the country... well that and having 20+ to choose from vs. 2 local.
That was my experience shopping earlier this year. Congratulations on the new GS, these cars are badass. Coming the f-body world, there is NO comparison.
