Exhaust vs gears
I have an '02 z28 m6......I have some money to spend, trying to decide best way to spend. I am going to get long tubes, ory, p/p tb, sfc...my question is would it be better to put full exhaust or 4.10's? I currently have a flowmaster on it that the previous owner installed.. Thinking about speed engineering long tubes and ory...any comments about fit, sound, quality of these? If I change exhaust was thinking lm2 or magnaflow....
Thanks for the replies!!

i got the speed eng. headers, and for $200 they fit haha, minor things here and there but i would suggest doing motor mounts at the same time, i have duals behind mine but i would go to a Y and catback if i could, so my vote is exhaust.

headers & tune. i believe headers lean out the A/F (air fuel ratio) so i would at least get a mail order tune if your car has a stock tune. if you havent yet done suspension mods 4:10's will just make you spin even more. imo. also check if you have an aftermarket air lid. flip over to see if open & smooth or plastic baffles / ridges. air lid is first mod. ps i vote magnaflow over lm.

I already have an slp air lid.....leaning toward the manga flow....any one know if the manga flow replacement muffler is the same one they sell in the kit? Thinking of just buying the muffler and having a shop install after I do the headers and ory...trying to save a little cash.....also thought about getting a SSRA....and I plan on a tune after everything is done. Hopefully going to ticks it's not that far away from me...
