Default Oil for 418 ls3 stroker

I'm running mobile 1 5w-30 synthetic but I'm considering running 5w-40. Is this switch ok?

I don't really have contact with the builder. There's nothing crazy about my setup. I was just thinking of putting the 5w-40 to possible lower valvetrain noise

Oil pressure is fine with 5w-30. I was also thinking 10w-30.

I use 5 w 30. Don't use a heavier weight.

That's what I'm thinking. I was adjusting thinking stepping up the weight will lower the valvtrain noise

It really depends on how the motor was setup, bearing clearances, etc...For instance my engine builder recommends a 20w50 in my setup

My car never really sees the track really only street driving. My motor was built to be all motor and oil pressure has always been good with 5w-30

i ended up putting in castrol edge 5w30 and it deffintly semms like the engine is a little quieter than from when i had mobil 1 5w30. i read that mobil 1 5w30 is a little thinner than other brands of same quality
