I always thought the Pontiac ads were incredible for our cars. They still look amazing even after all these years. The styling is timeless. I bought my first '96 Formula back in July 1996 right off a showroom floor in FL, then bought my 'vert in Charlotte right off the showroom floor. I'd love to do it again. Here are a few examples of the commercials. I think they are still incredibly well done ads.

I still remember that 'Blackbird' LT commercial from my childhood, pretty sure it's buried on a VHS of some movie that still exists somewhere. Even the third gen commercials weren't terrible, considering it was... well... the 80s.

I've never seen that Blackbird commercial. Not bad except for the "turns are into fuel" line.
I remember seeing the "boo" commercial when it was on tv. I wanted a black WS6 since I first saw it.
It seems weird the 98-02 WS6 was never the main car in a movie or tv show. Or has it happened and I just never saw it?

^^^ Man, I haven't seen that movie (7 Ups) in decades. It starred Roy Scheider before his Jaws movie fame. Good flick that was similar to the French Connection. It was a Pontiac free for all in the car chase.

Glad to see Two Lane Blacktop on the list. Great movie.
James Taylor (yes, the singer) as The Driver. Dennis Wilson (of the Beach Boys) as The Mechanic. And a great performance by Warren Oates as G.T.O. driving a 1970 Judge.
None of the characters even have names and no names are shown in the final credits. Just The Driver, The Mechanic, The Girl, G.T.O. And some pre-freeway landscape through the country that doesn't even exist anymore.
