Default Beware POTZ SPEED throttle body porting company on EBAY

Wanted to warn everyone of this company. I ordered a throttle body 3 months ago. Took a month to recive my throttle body only to have a defective one he sent me. I later asked for a new one which took forever to contact the owner John. I received my new throttle body a week later to find out it didn’t work either. I paid 50$ for the job and 100$ for the refundable core fee until I shipped back my stock throttle body. I requested a refund and shipped back my throttle body only to have no response from the owner of this company and he still has my $150. This company is garbage and their products are garbage. No one buy from this company. Avoid the headache and go with a quality company.

Explain "defective", how did it not work?

He used a blade from a different throttle body that was not the same as the stock one. My guess is he had one laying around and used it. Work on it was equivalent to an inexperienced porter. Just sloppy in general & not worth the headache let alone the owner John stealing your money.

ebay is only for buying cheap used parts after checking your local junkyards first.

Not true at all, I buy from E-Bay all the time both new and used parts, Sure there are some things I won't buy used from E-Bay like anything that has the potential to be worn out/defective crankshafts/rods/pistons. I have bought throttle bodies, Rocker Arms, Coils, Engine covers, Valve covers and many other parts. You definitely want to check and understand the sellers feedback.

When it comes to porting anything I'll always go with a reputable shop or someone who comes highly recommended by someone I trust. There is so much more to porting that just flow numbers.

Interesting. I've had my potz TB on my car like 6 years now and it's been fine.

Didn't the owner get sick and/or die a couple of years ago? Are you sure it's really a tried and true potz?

I was thinking the same thing. I remember someone posting about it a while back.

That could explain it, because Potz had an excellent reputation on here previously.

Sounds like a cobbled up mess with a lot of hassle.

For the price, WARR Performance an excellent TB

No reason to risk buying junk to save a few dollars given the hassle that can follow.

Almost 4 here. Throttle response was greatly improved.
