Default Has anyone used this ebay power steering pump pulley

First off, I'm not looking for any "Get the Turn1 or Dirty Dingo pulley".

Now that that's out of the way...

Has anyone used this ebay PSP pulley? The guy and product has great feedback.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/12421087733...53.m1438.l2649

From the ebay ad:

"THIS IS A STEEL REPLACEMENT PULLEY FOR THE LS1 MOTOR IN CAMARO SS, Z28, FIREBIRD FORMULA, TRANS AM WS6; WITH ORIGINAL FACTORY PLASTIC PART# 12559885.

THIS PULLEY WILL STOP THE NEED OF REPLACEMENT EVERY TIME THE PLASTIC BREAKS, OR COMES APART, AND RUINS THE PUMP RESERVOIR, AND LOSES THE BELT.

ALLOWS FOR EASY ACCESS TO THE PUMP BOLTS SO THE PULLEY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE REMOVED TO GET THE PUMP OFF!

GUARANTEED TO FIT 98-02 LS1 MOTORS AND REPLACE THE PLASTIC PART# 12559885.

EXACT OVERALL DIMENSIONS AS THE OEM PART.

OUTSIDE DIAMETER IS 6.6 INCHES AND 6.469in @ BELT GROOVE; BORE IS 0.7472 INCHES OR 18.9789mm TO FIT 19mm/.75in SHAFT SIZE (SAME OFFSET AS FACTORY PART)

SIMPLY PRESS ON UNTIL THE BELT DRIVE IS PERFECTLY ALIGNED
DOUBLE CHECK ALIGNMENT WITH BELT AND ACCESSORIES(ALTERNATOR, CRANK SHAFT, ETC.) FOR CORRECT PLACEMENT. There will be about 1/4'' of the bore not pressed on the shaft, because the factory part has a 1/4'' 'lip' inside it to make it 'stop' when it is aligned. These are made with no 'stop' inside."

I used that pulley on my LS swap. It's been fine, no issues.
I'm running truck spacing so it doesn't get pressed on the pump shaft all the way. I used permatex bearing retaining compound and it hasn't moved or slipped that i can tell. Many blasts to 6800rpm

Thanks a lot! I just bought the one from hawks. Wish I would have waited and I would have bought that one!

I decided to go for it. It is a solid option to the billion dollar Turn One pulley.

Any PS pulley that is spoked is a huge improvement over the OEM solid pulley that blocks access to the pump bolts. Why remove the pulley just to be able to remove the pump bolts.

It seems you're inquiring about a specific product related to an eBay listing for a power steering pump pulley. I don't have access to real-time data or specific information about eBay listings or user experiences with particular products. To find out if anyone has used the specific eBay power steering pump pulley you're interested in, you can consider doing the following:
  1. Check eBay Seller Feedback: Before purchasing any product on eBay, it's a good practice to check the seller's feedback and ratings. Look for reviews from previous buyers who may have purchased the same or similar items from that seller.
  2. Read Product Descriptions and Reviews: Carefully read the product description in the eBay listing, including details about the brand, specifications, and compatibility. Additionally, if there are reviews or comments on the listing, read them to see if other buyers have shared their experiences.
  3. Contact the Seller: If you have specific questions about the product or want more information, consider reaching out to the seller directly through the eBay messaging system. They should be able to provide additional details or clarification.
  4. Search Online Forums: Sometimes, automotive enthusiasts or DIYers share their experiences with specific auto parts on online forums or community websites. You can search for discussions related to the power steering pump pulley you're interested in to see if others have used it and shared their thoughts.
  5. Consult with a Mechanic: If you have concerns about the quality or compatibility of a specific automotive part, it's a good idea to consult with a professional mechanic. They can provide guidance on whether the product meets your vehicle's requirements and is of good quality.
Remember to exercise caution and do your due diligence when making purchases on online marketplaces like eBay to ensure that you're getting a product that suits your needs and meets your expectations.
