My brakes squeak just a little bit when slowing down from 10-0mph, and I always get embarrassed (need to get some caliper grease).

nah, that's not much of a problem. what used to embarrass me was in my old 1995 3.4L firebird, it had a bad headlight motor so every time i'd put it down it would grind for 5 seconds. i used to turn off my lights before i pulled in parking lots or rev my engine really loud so you couldn't hear the grinding

Yeah. Who takes their F-body through a drive-thru. WTF? You have all those narrow curbs to worry about, and you shouldn't be having food in it anyway. I don't think mine has ever seen one.

I don't see any problem with a bag with a burger and fries sitting in my passenger seat, and if you cant get through a drive through with out curbing it there's something wrong. I don't eat in the car, I take the food home with me. Jesus christ it's not a 500,000 dollar exotic.

If people make fun of you just tell them to put their money where their mouth is.

Mine's worth a lot more than that

I have no idea what the tick, tick, tick is either. Never had that problem. I know of at least a dozen guys with LS1's... no ticks there either.

Loud exhausts really help us guys with an LS1 car a lot. Also might want to consider a thicker oil. Sometimes that helps with the sewing machine sound.
