i am just about ready to roll over 100,000 miles and since i plan on keeping my car for awhile, it got me thinking.... whats everybody's plans once your car gets near the 200K mark? do you plan to fix the minor problems as they occur and rebuild the motor when it needs it, or are you just going to sell the car for next to nothing 6 years down the road?
how about you guys with the really high miles that havnt rebuilt the engine yet...how is the power still? i am not really sure what to expect...

83k miles and rolling....If I keep it I hope it doesnt need anything major. If it does, ill probably ditch it for something else down the road. If it doesn't, sweet. No major plans for it though.

My LS1 will never see 200K in my lifetime. Being driven an average of 1500 miles a year, it might not even hit 100K in my lifetime.
At the current moment, I intend to keep it for the rest of my life. But then again, I've said that about a lot of cars and somehow I still end up selling them eventually. This time though, I'm hoping I can stick with it.
I don't forsee anything major breaking on this car in the next 10-20 years due to the low mileage and limited usage. It will retain it's stock internals, and continue to be a perfect weather cruising car only. I'm sure I'll eventually add the new '09+ Camaro to my lineup as well, but I don't plan to sell the '98....I'll just let the collection grow.

75k here, runs, smells, looks, and drives like a brand new car. its nearly 10 yrs old and still rapes pretty much everything around this town. ill probably plan on a rebuild around 125k, forge everything make it bullet proof. by then ill have full bolt - ons and a stall. ill add drag suspension, a d-1sc procharger and small cam, maybe z06 or a little bit bigger cam. It is currently my DD so by the time i get a rebuild i hope to have a new dd and keep this a my street/strip weekend car. as stated before there would be no point to selling it because it would only be worth a few grand and the memories ive had in the car will be worth more than a few thousand dollars.

Pay the car off, bigger cam, heads, new front and rear bumper since the paint is starting to chip because of a deer hoof in the front and some idiot driver put 2 nice gouges in the rear bumper. I plan on getting it repainted too. Then maybe a shot off of that. 475 RWHP N/A and around 600 on the bottle is my ultimate goal for the car.

59000 Miles here. I dont plan on selling it unless I NEED to. I will run it untill the motor starts getting weak or gives out. And when it does, I will drop a bigger, better, stronger motor in it.

145k....i hate high miles on it but i'm just going to rebuild it when the time comes with a forged setup. I'd love to have a blower or a turbo, but we have to be real with ourselves and face the facts.
My power is still there, atleast from what i can tell. Just make me paranoid about everything with that much on the clock.

Gonna do my best to never sell it or any other camaros i buy in the future. When stuff breaks it will get replaced with new parts made to not break again in the lifetime of the car. And somewhere along that process get up to about the 450 hp mark.

63,500 miles. Will be putting in a new clutch in Dec. Going to try and keep her. May trade her off for an 09 Camaro. I dont know yet. I still have heads and cam to install by next summer. 90/90 intkae and tb also.....and one hellish tune to go with it.....Looking for at least 450rwhp maybe more....who knows....
But right now, she is so close to being paid for it aint funny, I got less then 4k to pay off and it's free and clear.

some day I want to pull in at the car show and be the old man that everone talkes about, like did you see that bad aaa WS6, but at the same time I what them to wonder how fast it is because it doesnt sound that fast, but I am thinking mid 10's on motor some day, but still enjoy full interior a/c and the whole 9 yards of comfort these cars were ment to have.
