Allright well Ive been saving up for awile now and am planning on dumping it all in my car. What would you get? I am planning on getting 9"rear w/4:10 gears, MT Street Radials w/ draglites, LS6 intake manifold, lid, filter, and an ms4 or trex. With this set up what numbers do you think Ill get or run in a 1/4. Sorry for the lost post, but I wanna get the right stuff. Thanks.

A lot of responses. Appreciate them all. I would love to stroke it or turbo/procharger, but I wouldnt have enough money left over after the 9". I would like to get a new driveshaft and clutch to go with my rear end, but I wouldnt be able to get the LS6 Intake Manifold and tires/wheels. I think the clutch and driveshaft would be able to hold for awile.

But I suppose you can find that out the hard way. May want to look into a good clutch/flywheel. Something like a spec3+ or so. Your driveshaft should be pretty good. Just get new Ujoints.
Personally, this winter Im doing a Tv3 I believe. The cam just sounds so appealing to me, and the style of driving I do most with my car, and has a ton of power under the curve, good for driving on the street (read: racing on the street).

hmmm, m6, you still on the stock clutch? M/T + 4.10 can shorten the clutch life for sure. Mabe skip the ls6 for now and go with a stonger cutch if you have not done that yet... with the mods you are considering. All great choices for 1/4 mile. Just a thought you may want to consider the stock 3:42's so that you dont have to shift as much as it will slow you down. With the 4/10 you will be bangin gears alot more often, needless to say. Alowing more potential for error. I've got 3:73's and am considering going back to stock to save time on shifting. Edit* I'm no expert so if you are and expert chime in!

I just spent 6 k,,,,in about 30 min.....easy choice for me.....motor is in sig....I chose moser 9 in 4:10's nodular casing(2500.00)textralia oz clutch/flywheel(950.00)full bmr suspension(adj T/A,LCA,sub con,T/A reloc,adj pan bar(1000.00),new drag lites and slicks(900.00)1200 hp drive shaft and safety loop.(600.00)..
Now, with your budget IMOP..get the 9 inch, clutch(DO NOT GET A SPEC!!!!)cam, patriot heads, lid, filter, and you might have enough for the back drag lites -tires..
Good luck..
