Default Friends Trans Am dosnt feel as fast as it should..

My friend just got a 2001 trans am with 10,000 miles on it. We raced a few peeps in it so far, and when he floors it, it dosnt really feel that fast. My dad has a stock 99 Z28 1LE and when he would race people my head would slam back against the seat. I would get the feeling I was in a really fast car. Am i just used to the speed now or is something up with my friends car?

A4/M6? From a dig or on a roll? Losing traction at the rear? Need more info other than your SOTP.

Exactly, gears would be nice to know too, with out that info, you can't even get a vague answer.

Maybe it needs more break in miles. Mine didn't really wake up till after 10,000.
