I'm just wondering, if I want to break the 11's (I'm nowhere near it yet), what would it take? What would be the cheapest way to get to the 11's? I don't want to do nitous though, so thats out. Other than that what can I do? I have the exhaust all done and just a lid for the intake, but thats it so far. So what I'm looking for here is the cheapest way for me to get to the 11's? (or at least very low 12's if nothing else). I have a 2000 WS6 A4.
Thanks
.
(I just joined a group at Purdue for cars and I found out there are like 4 f-bodies that are around the 12 second mark. Some above it and some below it. Sooo... After seeing their cars you know what I want now...
lol)
Thanks

Yeah I was gonna say, I would think it should take more than that because one of the guys (11.92 @ 113) has all this:
-Jet-Hot Longtube headers
-Speed Inc 3" true duals with X-pipe, dynomax bullets, dumped at rear axle.
-Cam: TSP MS3 (237/242 .603/.609 113)
-SLP cold air induciton
-TSP induction lid
-LS6 intake manifold
-Ported throttle body
-SLP underdrive crank pulley
-Tranny: Twice rebuilt.
-Torque converter: Yank SS4000
-BMR Boxed, weld in subframe connectors
-Brakes: Brembo replacement rotors, Hawk HPS pads
-Rollmaster double timing chain, ported LS6 oil pump
-PRC gold dual valvesprings with Titanium retainers, chromemoly pushrods
-Dyno tuned by LS1 speed
-M/T 26x10.5x16 ET streets
So that's why I was thinking it would be a lot more. If I could get there with just what you guys said that would be awesome. What do you think is the minimum $$$ for getting there?

I am considering buying a Camaro z28 and would also like to know what I will need to beat my dads 12.40's dodge challenger. I dont want to put in nitrous or put on slicks tho and Want to spend less than a grand and also want to keep stock exhaust.

You should definately be able to get low 12's out of it, with those mods I just listed, it's all in the 60ft. And your DA is going to have an effect on how strong your car is.
Here's 1 example, https://ls1tech.com/forums/11-second-club/591859-new-best-bolton-car.html

to the original poster, a stall, sticky tires shoudl get you pretty close...waht was the 60ft in the 11.92 run? Traction is key.

Do you have a good tune? With those mods I'm very surprised by your times. gears, converter, LS6 cam, drag radials, that should be riding out pretty decent. Maybe I'm wrong

Well a big shot of nitrous would work, but I don't want nitrous, that isn't an option.
How would I reduce my race weight by that 200lbs?
And what would be the reasons for, and the positives and negatives of removing the front sway bar? Would it be bad on the street at all, cause this car is basically a dd still.

You could reduce the race weight by removing seats, pulling out spare tire, etc etc. On the sway bar thing it help the front end of the car lift a bit more on launch helping with traction on the rear, and saves weight. It would just handle funny without it (more body roll etc, if you don't do spirited driving with it i.e. taking turns at 70+, then it wouldn't be a huge deal).
