whoever cuts a 14-second 1/4 mile in an LS1 should be drawn and quartered by 4 F-bodies

Going by times you see at the track isn't an accurate way to decide how fast a car is - most of the people who show up at regular test and tune nights aren't exactly the best drivers in the world, lots of 1st timers. You'd be surprised how screwing up a launch and short shifting can really add time to your e/t.

13.5's the first time I ever dragged. Worst 13.7's. But you could directly correlate that to my 60'

not everyone is a ******* pro their first time out liek you i guess. its nice to make fun of people to really deter them. ps, my frist time out i was running 14.5s at 105, i'm glad there wasn't ******** liek you out there making fun of me cause i'm sure I would have stopped trying and just enjoyed my car else where and quit racing.

ps. have you ever raced before or was this just your frist time at the track?

As well as weather/DA and track conditions having a HUGE effect on times/traps, especially in a bone stock, NA ride.

my 01 t/a when it was stock went 13.5 @ 104 105 with an A4 but my buddy with an 02 M6 (not stock) did 13.8's 14.00's then finally did a 13.5 but all of his passes were @ 109, his problem, old hard tires. old hard tires=crapy 60 ft, crapy 60 ft=crapy E.T.

still a 14.00 is faster than most people give credit for my blazer off the bottle runs 13.8-14.1 depending on temp, but it hooks up great, track or street, my point is I can take my 14.00 blazer on the street and smoke most cars from a dead just b/c of traction. just remember power you can't apply to ground is worthless.

I ran a 18 the first time, a 14.2 the 2nd time and a 13.8 the 3rd time out to the track.

On a 100degree day I hovered at 14.0/13.9 for almost 25 runs.

Launching a 6 speed is hard, too much and you spin the tires, too little you bog. On top of that, you always have that damn 10 bolt in the back of your mind...

I'm hoping to cut my 60ft to something better than 2.4 as that's really killing my e/t more than anything else.

First time down the track I got too excited and screwed up the launch. Ran a 16.4 @ 98mph. Second time down, I took the launch slow and granny shifted each shift and ran a 13.84 @ 104.6 These times are before mods...

Sounds about right. I ran a 13.74@105 in my car before any mods. This is my first fast manual trans car and it's not exactly easy to get the launch right. Hell, I am trapping almost 111 now and I still can't break into the 12's.
